A/N it's called Version One in case I ever wanna write it again

"It's cold in here." Nico complains. Leo sits on Nico's bed and puts a hand to his forehead. Warm.

Leo looks out the window, at the rain washing down the glass, drizzling everywhere. He stands to close the curtains.

Nico coughs. Leo grins at how adorable he sounds, and would make a joke if his voice wasn't so creaky from recovering from a previous illness. It's just that season, he guesses.

"Leo, you should rest too." Nico mumbles. Leo looks over. Nico looks adorable with his eyes closed, wrapped up in comforters and huddling with himself. Leo smiles at his kindness; though many people see the son of Hades as heartless, he can be the most loving and compassionate person Leo may ever know. He thanks the gods every night that he sleeps by his side.

Leo took the medicine out of his pocket and poured it into the lid, and urged Nico to open his mouth.

"No way, you need it too. It's freaking cold, Mr. D needs to block out all these rainstorms. What a jerk," Nico rambles on. "We all know he just wants to stay inside, with us out of his hair, drinking."

"I took some before, drink it." Leo ignores his protests and change of subject, dumping the liquid into Nico's mouth.

"Ew." Nico complains, cringing. Leo smiles and gives a half-laugh. Nico smiles at Leo's laugh, how it's so easy for him. So easy.

"Leo, come lay with me. You look cold." Nico said, but really just wanted to warm up himself. Leo nodded and laid next to him, where the blankets were away. Nico shared the blankets anyway.

"Warmer?" he asks.

Leo smiles and kisses Nico's nose, and speaks in a struggling voice, "Can't get hotter than this, sweetheart."
