"Leo!" he called.
Leo entered to find an exhausted Nico sprawled out under a toasty blanket, eyes half open and breathing through his mouth, his hand out.
"Yeah, Neeks?" Leo smirked, playing with strands of Nico's hair.
"I'm hot." he complained with a croaky voice. Leo pulled his blanket off Nico's frail body. Nico's wearing his clothes from the day before: a black tee, black jeans and grey socks. Leo can't see how jeans could be comfortable when you're sick, but Nico is probably too ill to care.
"Leo?" Nico whispered.
"Hmm?" the Latino elf replied.
"I'm cold."
Leo sighed and pulled the blanket up. He left and brought back water, and tipped a little in Nico's mouth. Nico dozed to sleep.
Leo stayed for fifteen minutes, and Nico woke up again. "I'm hungry." he managed.
Leo made him a soft taco, only consisting of meat and cheese. Nico took a bite but resisted any more; not because of its flavor, of course (Leo is a pure genius).
Nico moaned in exhaustion. Leo dripped a bit more water into the boy's mouth. He sat with him until he fell asleep.
After half an hour, Leo went to the store, buying some more medicine and soft foods. He came back to a wide awake Nico.
"Leo?" he croaked.
Leo set down his two bags and walked to the boy's bed. "Yeah, Neeks?" When he's not making jokes, Leo is the most compassionate, caring person you will ever know.
"I'm cold." Nico complains.
Leo grabbed the second blanket from the foot of the bed, and pulled it up to Nico's chin.
After fifteen minutes, and Leo had taken care of his groceries, Nico called for Leo once more.
"Yeah, Nico?" Leo sat by Nico's outted hand.
"I'm still cold. I wanna cuddle."
Well, Leo couldn't say no to that! He pulled on the two blankets until they were both underneath them. Leo laid his arm across Nico's chest, snuggling up. Nico's head fell into the boy's shoulder. He mumbled something, but Leo couldn't tell what.
Leo kissed Nico's head, "I love you. Sleep well, okay?"
Nico nodded slightly and mumbled. He fell asleep almost immediately.
He slept for a few hours, with Leo dozed by his side.
