Nico always cherished the idea of love, loving and being loved were two important things in Nico's life. So, naturally, when Will started loving Nico, Nico returned the passion.
Everyone at Camp Half-Blood cared about Nico, and Will on that matter. So, of course, they support the two, even the Aphrodite children who want one of the boys for themselves.
Some even went as far as, let me shiver, fangirling. It frightened Nico more than ghosts frightened Will (which is saying something)! But alas, to this day, they haven't stopped. Now, it's more of an obsession, and the boys get a low amount of privacy. It's annoying and aggravating.
"Will!" Nico storms into the Apollo cabin. Other children of Apollo glance to see what's going on, one even wearing a t-shirt that says Ship Solangelo. Nico grabs Will's sleeve cuffs and drags him all the way to the Hades cabin.
"Will, I hate this! It's driving me insane!" he complains.
"What is?" Will asks, though he knows the answer.
"All this attention, it's like we're celebrities. Can't we just be a normal couple? We get more attention then even Annabeth and Percy!! Come on, isn't that a tiny bit odd to you?"
"They're just trying to support us, but . . . yeah. That is annoying, and weird. It's like the gods pronounced it." Then the thought hits them both. Aphrodite.
Nico grew hot with rage, and Will held his hand to keep him from exploding. They agree silently that they'll talk with Aphrodite about it, ASAP. They can't Iris message them because gods can be in more than one place at one time, so they decide to pray.
"O, Goddess of Love, Goddess of Beauty, Aphrodite," Nico prays, trying his hardest to act polite in the situation. "Please answer my prayers. Reveal yourself to us."
The goddess did just that, appearing in front of the two boys, shining brighter than Apollo, lighting Nico's dark, brooding cabin.
"Boys!" she squealed. Nico scowled deeper, Will smiled awkwardly.
"Aphrodite, you cursed the camp, didn't you?!" Nico accuses.
"Well, you're my OTP!" she exclaims, squealing. Nico is now as red as a fire.
"Give us our privacy! Let us have a normal relationship! This is stupid!" he demands.
Aphrodite sighs, "As you wish, young heroes."

That's the story of how every camper at Camp Half-Blood felt stupid in an instant and why Nico and Will struggle with someone looking at them in public. Perfect, right?Aphrodite is annoying, but she supports the two. In her own, odd way. Go Solangelo!
