"Hazel, turn that freaking music off!" Hades screams, pounding on my door. Nico tries to screams back but Reyna covers his mouth.
Hazel sighs, "Yes, Father." she turns the music down.
Nico growls, "Why do you let him treat you like that?!"
Reyna grabs the boy's hand, calming him. Hazel doesn't reply. She pulls out her new phone, trying to find new book apps to use. Nico and Reyna turn their full attention to each other.
"You ever gonna break my heart, Rey Rey?" Nico asks with meaningful, genuine eyes.
Reyna smiles warmly, something she doesn't do often. "No."
Nico nods, "Okay. I believe you."
Hazel stands and leaves the room, deciding to give the two teens privacy. She knows what triggers romance, and isn't excited for it, believe it or not.
"Love you, Rey." Nico comments.
"You too." Reyna replies in a monotone, unaffectionate voice. Nico takes both her hands and pulls her onto his lap. She refuses for a moment, but then feels the warmth between the two, the electricity daring to split them apart. She always enjoys a challenge with the electricity, so to speak. She moves her head onto Nico's shoulder, her nose bridge against his neck.
Nico kisses Reyna's head, holding her arms. She moves her hand to his other shoulder. Perfect, this is perfect, they both decide silently in their own heads.
Perfect, this is perfect. There's only one heart now, why break it? Reyna kisses Nico's neck.
"Love you, Nico."
