Bad Behavior

Chapter 21

Vanessa POV

"I got you something."Mynetta spoke as soon as I stepped outside. It was one in the morning and I'm too tired to even, still be outside.

Mynetta woke me up with that loud ass horn of hers and blowing up my phone all damn morning. I folded my arms against my chest as I stood outside in my pajama shorts and tank top. The weather was nearing winter; it was cool and now I was wishing that I'd bought a blanket out here.

"What?"I asked.

"Come on."She took my hand in hers, letting me feel the warmth of our hands together.

She sat me down in the passenger seat of her car and buckled my seatbelt before jogging over to the drivers side. She got in and got settled. She reached into the back seat and pulled out a bouquet of white wild carrot flowers and handed it to me.

My eyes widened at the size of the bouquet. I took it and sat it between my legs as I sniffed them. "What's this for?"I asked, looking up at her.

"I couldn't get you red roses because we not too get her...yet!"She side eyed me which made me laugh. "This symbolizes our friendship until you become my lady."She finished.

I couldn't help but blush when she said that. "You're the sweetest friend I've ever met!"I replied.

"I know."She agreed.

"Where are we going in the middle of the night?"I asked curiously. "You'll see."She told me. I rolled my eyes playfully.

She finally stopped the car a few minutes later. We got out and I looked around. We were on a cliff-like ground but there weren't any waters surrounding us.

"This here is the highest point in Toledo."She spoke after a long ride of silence. "Where are we?"I whispered, trying to get as close to her as possible.

"Ohio."

"What the fuck Mynetta!"I screamed. "How far are we from home?"

"An hour and four minutes if you wanna get technical."She replied.

"We both have school inna morning, are you crazy?!"

"Crazy for you, yes!"

Her last comment shut me right on up, my face turned red as I started to blush.

"Omg stooop Netta!"I playfully pushed her.

She fluffed out a blanket and laid it out on the nose of the car. We climbed on the nose and laid there, sharing a blanket on top of us. "How cute."She smiled over looking the city of Toledo, Ohio.

Even though we were an hour away from home and I should be worried, I wasn't. I felt carefree under her warmth as we overlooked the city. Lights from far off ahead, the hotels and other buildings shined bright.

"This is so romantic."I commented.

"You like it?"She asked.

"Yes... and I like you too."I added, smiling. I finally got her to blush when I said that and I took this as an opportunity to kiss her.

"You childish as fuck for that!"She wiped my kiss off that I placed on her forehead. "Gimme a real one."She added. I giggled and leaned in to kiss her lips.
