To the best of my ability, I tried to explain to Shadow where we needed to be teleported. Sebastian lifted Zae from the ground and waited for Shadow to prepare the portal. Scarlet and Mal had yet to leave my side.
"I can get us close as possible. We may have to walk the rest of the way." I nodded to him, A mixture of fear and longing rested firmly in my gut. She would help, I know she would.
"Who is this person who can help?" Sabastion asked the question that I'm sure everyone was wondering. Nodding to Shadow to start the portal I called over my shoulder.
"I'll tell you more when we get there." The air around lost the heat of the sun, I locked my eyes on Shadow who appeared to be in deep thought. In the blink of an eye, we were transported to my old training grounds. Shadow dropped to the ground clearly exhausted. A pig stood over a flame that caused the air to smell of pork roast. She was near.
"Xandra!" My heart slowed waiting for her to respond in some way. The air in front of me grew cold. Raising my head with confidence that I did not have I faced the women that had grown to be so important to me and such a short time. She exited her tent with her weapons drawn. She still sported her black combat boots but she had changed out her brown pants for a green pair. The red crop stop revealed enough skin to set my mind wondering. I had to snap out of it, I was here to save Zae.
"Why have you returned Azari? Her eyes begin to take in each of my family members. Taking a step back about to flee I rose my hand to her.
"Wait, I need your help. My brother has been wounded by a Holy weapon." Her eyes slit clearly not believing me.
"If a demon is wounded by a holy sword there life is no longer. It is impossible for you brother to be wounded, demon." Her last word cut my deeper then any word could have. I opened my mouth to respond when Sabastion appeared beside me. He lowered Zae to the ground in front of us and faced Xandra. Her face changed all together once she saw him.
"Please Xandra, he needs your help. We need your help!" Xandra's eyes took in Zae features one by one and a look of recognition crossed her face.
"That man isn't your brother," She said as approached Zae. The air grew colder the closer she got. Before I could open my mouth to question her she closed the distance between her and Zae.
"What do you mean?" An uneasy feeling crept into my body. Zae was definitely our brother. Although he did look entirely different than all of us that along with his wings. I washed the thoughts from my head before I could dive into them anymore. She lowered her self to the ground beside Zae and waved her hand over his wound.
"This boy is the son of Michael, Surrogate King of the Heaven." My mouth along with everyone else mouth fell open. Was it possible?
"That can't be possible." Sabastion was the first person to find his voice. Xandra eyes flashed to Sabastion before she returned them back to Zae whose breaths came less and less often.
"I've seen Michael, I served under him. I would know what his son looks like. He's almost a spitting image of him."
Sabastion took a step forward and Xandra jumped from the ground blades back in her hand.
"I'm saying it isn't possible because once an angel or demon have mated with a Void holder that person is branded to that specific being. If he is the son of Michael, then none of them would exist." Sabastion through a thumb over his shoulder pointing to the rest of us.
"My point exactly. So it isn't possible for them to exist if he exists."
"We don't care about any of that heal him!" Mal voice drifted over to us from the rear. He and Scarlet who helped Shadow walk towards us all appeared behind us. Xandra face frowned up as she locked eyes with me.
