The smell of burning cinder stung my nose as I followed behind a man in black cloak. My body was moving on its own. I attempted to stop but failed. I glanced down at my hands to find them wounded with scars I didn't posses. I glanced back up in time enough to see the man in the black cloak hold a hand up for us to stop. He turned to us with rage fueling in his eyes.
"Find it." was all he said before everyone around me took action. A God brother shot past me followed by 3 more. My heart drummed in my chest with the thought of me being captured. Where was I? Without warning my feet started to move, sprinting full speed into the direction of the fire. The closer I got the more screams I heard coming from the village. I watched as God brothers shot flaming arrows into windows setting the entire village ablaze. One man stumbled from his house wheezing for air. I watched the look in his eye change from hope to fear as I plunged a blade into his stomach. Pulling my blade free I whipped it on my pants. My entire body was moving without my consent. I caught my reflection in the window of the burning house. I wasn't in my body. This had to be some kind of dream. The person's body I was in went from room to room searching for something. I attempted again to have some kind of control over the body I was trapped in when a horn sounded. The God bothers body I resided in suddenly stopped and turned from the house it had been searching. When I stepped from the doorway I saw the streets lined with the dead bodies of the villagers. I mentally cringed as the man stepped over the dead heading back for towards the sound of the horn. The man in the black cloak stood at the entrance of the village with something bundled in his arms. Once everyone had assembled he unwrapped the bundle to reveal a baby. Although the world around the baby was in chaos he laughed at the sight of the God brother. The cold stare in the man's eye softened as the looked down on the body. Pulling the blade from his side he aimed it for the baby before he stopped inches from the boy's chest.
"Jeb, what are you doing?" the body I possessed asked. The man in the black cloak replaced the blade on his side and looked at me.
"This child is the last memory I have of my sister," Jeb responded as he reached a finger out to play with the boy.
"Regardless he still the seed of a demon, one of the 12 primal's at that." I responded. Who was this child this man held in his arms?
"He had no say in that matter; my sister has already been punished of her sins. With this child we can create a soldier like none before him."
The God brothers around me all begin to talk among themselves.
"The Cardinal will never approve of this Jeb and you know that." I said as I reached for the blade on my side.
"He will never know." Jeb said before he rose his other hand and begin to suck the air from my lungs. I could feel the life leaving my body as I dropped to my knees. Jeb pulled the baby in tight and turned in the direction we came from was the last thing I saw, before the God brother drew his last breath.
I awoke from my dream gasping for air. Shadow was sitting across from me eyes trained on my reaction.
"What was that just now?" I asked clenching my chest. I could still feel the smoke in my chest as I kept fighting for air.
"I have not the slightest clue, this dream has haunted for me weeks now." Shadow said as he started to pull his hair back into a pony tail.
"Why haven't you told anyone?"
Shadow dropped his eyes to the ground and sighed, "I have, my Father doesn't know what it is either,"
"Your father?" I asked finally catching my breath.
"Yes, my father. He has been training me." Shadow said as he rose his eyes back to meet my own.
"How long has this been going on?" I asked as I reached for a shirt from the clean pile.
