"So, do I get to fight Shadow now?" Mal huffed his chest up trying to appear bigger then he was.
"You'd lose." Shadow tapped Mal on the forehead deflating his chest. Without a second glance, he stepped around him and began to head for his tent.
"If you're so confident, fight me, "Mel yelled as he stomped the ground he sent a shard of rock flying at Shadow's head. With of the snap of a finger, the stone disappeared and slammed into the back of Mal's head a snicker escaped from my chest that I had to play off as a cough. Shadow stopped his advance and turned to face Mal. His calculating eyes sized the situation. Mal pulled the goggles from his eyes and rose both of his hands ready for the final battle between siblings.
"We've had enough action for today." Zae stepped between the two facing down Mal who did not drop his guard in the slightest.
"Say's the one who already had his battle." He threw his head in Xandra direction who seemed to be discussing something with Lucas.
"Mal, there's always tomorrow. The sun is already starting to set, do you want to fight in the dark." Zae tried hard to reason with Mal, but he wasn't having any of it.
"I always fight in the dark, now step to the side before I move you." Mal took a step in Zae's direction, and I found myself to be amused by the altercation happening before me. Xandra and Lucas were done talking, and their full attention was on the battle that was about to take place.
"Mal, wait until tomorrow." He took a step in Mal's direction which was his first mistake, with another stomp of his foot a shard of earth flew from the earth barely missing Zae's face. Everyone looked shocked including Lucas.
"I'll give you until the count of 3 before I move you." Zae remained unmoved, trying to call Mal's bluff. His second mistake.
"I'm not moving, you and Shadow can fight tomorrow." I glanced around Zae at Shadow who appeared to be amused.
"3." The earth at Zae's feet dropped from under him. Zae didn't even have time to respond to the sudden movement. The ground opened up at Zae's feet and swallowed him, only leaving his head above the ground. Zae yelled in protest while Scarlet clapped from the rear. My oldest brother eyes found me, and I quickly averted my own.
"So, no one going to help me out of the ground?" The group of us fell silent. Shadow rose his guard waiting for Mal's next attack. A roar of laughter burst from Lucas's chest surprising everyone.
"I like this kid." with the flick of his hand the earth around Zae begin to crumble, allowing Zae to climb out from the chamber that Mal had crafted for him.
"What's the big idea?" Mal turned to face Lucas agitation written all over his face. Xandra made herself known at this moment.
"Lucas and I have decided a new route for your training; there will be no more need for battles." Mal dropped his goggles on his eyes and glared at Xandra who was unfazed by his stare as she continued to talk.
"This day forward, Lucas will help me with your training, we will break you into squads. Lucas will take responsibility for Zae, Mal, and Shadow. I'll take Azari Sebastian, and Scarlet." with the mention of my name my heart skipped a beat.
"This still isn't fair." Mal sulked past me, and I fought hard to hide the smile that Xandra saying my name did to me.
"Life isn't fair Mal." Although I hide my smile, it rode my words making its self-known to everyone.
"Shut up lover boy." Mal stomped the ground throwing a shard of the earth in my direction. Instantly my hand shot forward and caught it, dropping it to the ground I looked to Shadow who stood there smiling at me.
