Who Do You Work For?

A numbness started at  the bottom of my feet and spread. Ever since I found out who I was bad  things have been happening. First Akeem, the snake man, and then this slaughter  that I was drawn to. I didn't want these powers anymore. So much was  changing in my life and it has only been two days. A broken branch  stopped me in my tracks. Was I being followed? I scanned the trees  around me for any movement but nothing appeared or made its self known.  Now I was being over paranoid , I broke into a slight jog back to camp.  My father was a demon, does that make me evil? Can I still be Azari  Kendra, or would I turn into the some monster? The snake man appeared in  my head again, he said his father was a demon also.
The smell of a pig  filled the air and I knew knew home was right threw the trees.
"Look who decided to  show up!" My younger brother yelled from across the way, sweat drenched  his forehead,
"I see having your house blown in and your older brother almost dying wasn't any reason to miss training." This actually cheered  me up. Some things would never change.
"Can I join you?" My mind needed to get off of the recent events, what better way than to train.
A creepy smile spread across Mal's face."Do you really want that Azari? You know you can't beat me."
"We'll see," this would  be much needed. My feet shot forward towards my younger brother, he  turned around and put his guard up.
"Your wish is my  command." As long as my feet were on the ground Mal could read my every  move and counter it. This should be interesting. Dashing around him I tried to throw a kick. He countered with incredible speed and swirled around grabbing my ankle slinging me across the ground.
"Azari, you'll really  have to do better then that." A smug smile stayed on his face. He hadn't  moved an inch towards me. This was a game for him. He would regret taking  me so lightly. I sprang back up on my feet and charged my younger  brother again, with ease I jumped over his head planting a kick across  his back. He flew forward but caught himself. Once my feet touched  the ground I jumped back into the air. Mal's head snatched around  searching for any trace of me, like a frog playing leap frog I advance  towards Mal. Each time my foot touched the ground his head snapped in my  direction. He straightened and waited. I was about to throw another punch when Mal turned on me and knocked me out of mid-air. Once on the ground  my younger brother came at me. I pushed myself off the ground and tried  to jump into the air again.
"Not that trick again."  Mal raised one of his hands and earth shot from the ground, engulfing my foot. So we were using powers, a smile crept across my face, my baby  brother has opened up a whole new window for me. Sending a jolt down into my feet, I broke the earthly embrace around my ankle and sprinted  towards my brother. Shock surged to his face, that was quickly replaced with a smile.  Once again he threw his guard up and waited for me to get within striking range. I threw one after another at my younger brother who easily knocked  them to the side. Dropping low to the ground I kicked Mal's feet out from  under him. Earth erupted from the ground to catch my brother while  knocking me back across the field. I was sent air-born . Check-mate. I twisted my body in the air and shot back towards Mal, Lighting shot out of my feet as I approached my target.
"Got ya!" I yelled as I  pushed my fist into my brother's face. I barley touched the surface  before he was gone. A stern hand reached around and caught my neck, and I was firmly planted on my back before I knew it.
Jamal was smiling down on me,"I got you." He raised he allowed me up, by extending a hand to me.
"Yeah, yeah," I took his hand and raised to my feet.
"Good job Jamal" Zae called. My family all began to walk towards us. I'm guessing they were watching the whole  time.
My baby sister was smiling ear to ear."For a second I thought Azari was going to win, but you did it."
"Well, I'm glad to see no one was pulling for me." I said, which caused Shadow to smiled. His eye was no longer black.
"I wouldn't say no one  was rooting for you." Zae stood in the back of the group, he was smiling  at me and I forced my self to smile back. There was still a lot I needed  to know.
"Well you guys finished just in time, Shadow went out and got us a pig to eat and it just got finished." Scarlet said.
"I'm actually starving." Jamal said. He could eat anyone out of house and home. There were never any leftovers with my younger brother around.
"Let's grub then." Said as he led the way for us to the center of the camp.
My mind  began to wander again. So Alex met our father, thats where the dark aura  came from, do I also have that aura now? Could I transform like Akeem? Do  my eyes do that red thing that Alex's does? Before I knew it my plate was empty.
"Zae whats our next  move?" Shadow's voice cut through the conversation that was floating around.  Every ones eyes turned to Zae who was sitting staring into the sky. He  opened his mouth and closed it again.
"I actually don't know,  We don't have any other family its just us. We could try to build a new  house here its great placement their is plenty of food sources around  here."
"We're exposed here." Shadow's eyes stayed locked while we waited for his response.
"Mal can sense people coming before they get here, we have plenty of protection."
"What if the enemy flies?" Shadow said dryly.
"Shadow, I don't have all the answers." Zae locked eyes with Shadow. Shadow made no attempt to look away.
"You should." Shadow responded.

Mal interrupted the argument that was sure to ensue."There is someone here." He raised his hand up to the tree line that I burst from only hours before.
A man in all white battle armor stood there, a big sword was thrown across his back. He stared at us, taking us in one by one.
Zae shot to his feet followed by Shadow and the rest of us. "Who are you?" Zae's command voice was back he raised his head, and continued walking towards the unknown enemy.
"My name is Davis  Windowlace, I am a general of the fraction known as the God Brothers. We  exist to terminate all things in this world that defy our God."
"Okay, what do you want from us?" Zae shot a look over his shoulder to me. This man knew who we were.
"We got information of  demonic actives in this area. Imagine our surprise when we come up on a  city with hundreds slaughtered in the street." A cold feeling jolted into  my stomach, I knew what city he was talking about,
"And what even surprised me more  was that he...." The man raised his hand, and aimed it at my chest."...was seen leaving the crime. So I ask you this one time, are you guilty of the deaths of the Norcom Village?"
All of my siblings turned to me, shock was visible on everyone's faces. I found my voice and stepped forward . "I found the village,  the people were already dead once I got there. I..." The man's voice boomed  from across the field cutting me off.
"I didn't ask to hear  your story, I asked were you guilty or not guilty." He was in postion of power, you could tell by the way he shoulder sat and chest stuck out.
"Then no I'm not." My  hair began to stand up from the static my body was letting off. Running a  hand through my hair I stared at the man.
"All I needed to hear. I would offer you repentance, but you are demon scum and you deserve everything thats coming your way." He turned on his heels and raised and dropped his hand. A small army of men dropped from the trees. Fear rose up into me, as they draw their weapons and then encircled us.
"God Brothers. Deliver your judgement." Davis exited into the place where he first appeared and the God Brothers charged us.
"Mal, give us a little time please." Zae's voice boomed as the soldiers closed in on us. There  were an easy fifty plus of them. The ground under my feet rumbled and  shot out to meet our enemy. The men jumped over the attack and continued  forward.
"They can read all my moves." My younger brother stood there frowning, his many attempts to slow the enemy down failed.
"Everyone listen, we are  fighting for our lives in this very moment, try not to kill them, but if  it comes down to it, you know what to do. Remain observant." Zae charged  forward towards the enemy. With ease he took out two of the God Brothers. Shadow followed suit dragging his knuckles across face after face. A blonde blur slid through the crowd knocking their feet from under  them as she went. I wouldn't be the last to join the party. Taking a deep breath I pulled on my abilities, tucked deep within me. They didn't notice me until I was right on top of  them. A feeling of empowerment began to surge through me and my blood began to boil as my body count began to grow. A thunderous sound brought me back to reality. My younger brother crashed through the enemy force, throwing the God Brothers fifty meters back into the trees they originally appeared from.
"Now this is a party!" Mal howled as he continued clearing out the enemy with ease.

"Mal ease up a little, we don't want these guys sticking around and we don't  want to have to bury anyone." Zae's voice came out muffled over the  sound of the battle going on to the point that , I was the only person to  hear him. I nodded at Zae to let him know I heard him and began to push  my way towards Mal, eliminating enumerated as I went. When I got within ear range I replayed the message that Zae told me to pass on.
"WHAT?"  Mal was still locked into battle and wasn't paying me any attention. I moved in closer and grabbed my younger brother's arm.
"Zae  said ease up a little we don't...." My sentence was cut short. Mal's eyes  went wide with shock as he looked down at his stomach. An arrow head was  sticking from his belly meaning it went through his back. Falling forward  into my arms my brother stared into blank space. I grabbed Mal's hands and pushed them to the wound. There had to be a constant pressure on the  wound or he'd bleed out. I heard the draw of a sword coming from behind me, I managed to turn around in time enough to see Shadow kicking the mans head to the side, with a crunch.
"Is  he going to be alright?" Shadow dropped to my side and moved Mal into his lap. My younger brother's blood stained my pants and my hands. A power that I've never felt began to surge throughout my body. I felt myself  rise to my feet and turn around to the approaching God Brother. My fist shot out and the man's face crumbled under my hand. A low laugh began to  rumble from my chest. They would pay, I swear it.
