Chapter 62
Mia's POV
Did I make the right decision? Should I go to London with Zayn and leave everything behind even if it's just for a little bit?
This was the exact thing I wanted to avoid - putting myself out there in public, I might as well hand myself over to journalists because that's what I was basically asking for - yet I agreed to go with him.
But I know it would be a lovely time. I hadn't gone to a wedding in ages. That's a horrible excuse why I should go.
But I couldn't take it back because I already told Zayn I would and he was so happy about it. How could I change my mind and bear to see that disappointed expression he wears when he's bummed out.
The steaming water felt relaxing as each stream from the showerhead hit my skin. I usually enjoyed my showers since it allowed me to think but this time I didn't want to think. If I think too much, I'd talk myself out of going to London and Zayn would be crushed. Okay, maybe not crushed but disappointed. I would be too. I wanted to go with Zayn, enjoy myself for just one night, have fun at the wedding and see the boys again. It was always be a great time being with them.
Suddenly Ty's words that I used to remind myself religiously popped into my head: "Don't let others keep you from what you want."
Could that apply here?
After I stepped out of the shower, there was a knock at my door. Wrapping the towel around my wet body, I scrambled to the door, asking him what he wanted.
"Just let me in," he whined and I chuckled at his childish impatience.
"Hold on. Let me change first." I rushed over to my drawer across the room for a pair of nice panties but I had none left. I hadn't done laundry since Zayn had arrived. Granny panties it was. Before I could throw on my red nightdress with the cutest baby pandas, Zayn knocked again at the door.
"Will you hurry up in there?"
"Why are you rushing me?" I giggled, sure that he didn't hear me.
"Hey, can you do me a favor?"
"I don't know. The last time I did one, it was a disaster," my mind wandered to the moment when Perrie asked me to plan her wedding as a favor. It was more than a disaster. The calamity of calamities, the storm of storms. It was just -- horrible.
"Wear my shirt."
"Are you serious?" I asked pretending to be annoyed when really I was flattered. His shirt was still folded on my dresser and the thought of him wanting me to wear it made me smile.
"Yeah, I'm serious."
"Okay, fine. I'll wear it," I quickly pulled it over me along with a pair of sweatpants. When I opened the door, he leered me suspiciously.
"The pants," he pointed at my grey sweats.
"Yeah, so. You're wearing pants," I called attention to his navy trousers.
"Fine, I just pictured something completely different in my head," he sighed as he strutted in as if it was his own room.
"Are you planning on spending the night here?" I turned around asking him just to find him observing my room as if it was the eighth wonder of the world.
"Yeah," he answered, now keeping his attention on the photos on my wall.
"In my room?"
"Yeah, it's not like we've never slept together before. Is this you?" Changing the subject, are we?
