*Mars' POV*
"There's a park by the place Delilah and I live at. Wanna go there?" I asked Olivia as we walked around town. "Yeah that'd be fun." Olivia piped up. We walked to the park that Delilah and I used to go to every time with our second set of parents.
When they were alive we lived over here. I pass the house every time I go to the store. Now it had plastic toys in the front yard. It was heartbreaking to see the place. Good thing I don't go to the store anymore.
We got there and I let Delilah play on the playground while Olivia and I talked. "So are you planning on going to the party?" She asked. "Yeah. Wanna go together? Like a couple thing?" I asked not knowing what I'd get myself into. "Omg yes. That would be amazing!" Olivia squealed.
"Mars! Mars!" Delilah called. I looked over to her pointing up at a tree. I follow her direction to see Brown Sugar was being hung between two branches by the neck.
How the heck did that happen?!
"Can you get Brown Sugar for me please. He got stuck." She said running over to me. "Okay. Stay here." I said letting her take my seat on the bench.
I walked over to the tree. Examining how I could climb up it without ripping my sweater. I found a way and made my way up the tree. It took more time than I thought to get up. I rescued Brown Sugar from his horrified death and walked back over to the girls.
Delilah had a worried look on her face but it soon washed away when she saw me holding Brown Sugar. "Thanks Mars. I love you so much." Delilah said, sneaking a glare at Olivia. Even though I know Delilah loves me a lot she usually doesn't need to announce it.
She normally shows it in her emotion. Did I miss something? She once again ran over to the playground to go down the slide to let Olivia and I talk.
"Delilah's so sweet and adorable!" Olivia gushed. "Yeah. She's great!" I replied. "This is great. We should do this more often." Olivia smiled. "How about Thursday?" I asked. "Totally." She smiled at me. "Then I guess it's a date." I laughed and she laughed along with me.
Maybe I don't need Hazel. I have Olivia and Delilah. People who love me. And Olivia changed. She doesn't want me just to kiss me. She actually likes me for who I am. Who knows. Maybe I'll stay with Olivia and Hazel will end up with Bryan. How it's supposed to be.
Right?
-------------------------------------------------------
It was around 5:00 when Delilah and I got back home. It was fun at the park with Olivia. I've never really had a girlfriend or at least one who isn't using me for popularity. But it was nice to have Olivia there for me when I need her.
I plopped down on my bed and Delilah did the same on hers. We sat there for a while not saying anything. I looked around the room.
The walls were white. The setting of everything was a hospital. I hated how they put us in this "mental home" type feeling. It was supposed to be an orphanage but to me it felt like I was someone who was mentally ill. Fighting for an unknown reason.
"Mars." Delilah said finally breaking the silence. "Yes, Delilah?" I asked. "I have to tell you something." She choked out. I looked at her with a curious and worried face.
What could be wrong. Everything's...perfect. "What is it?" I looked into her eyes.
"It's about Olivia."
Update - 2/12/19: Oooh, the suspense!
Just kidding,
I find no suspense in this story whatsoever.
