*Hazel's POV*
Beep Beep Beep Beep
My alarm clock went off. School. Great! I didn't want to go back to school. It would be weird with Mars and Bryan. What would I do? I don't have any other friends.
"Hazel!" Sabrina said coming in my room. "Yes, Bri?" I asked. "Oh, Never mind. You're already up." She shrugged. "Can we talk?" She asked. I felt super confused but at the same time important.
What would be the problem? She's only 9.
"What about?" I said digging through my closet to find something to where. I choose washed out jeans, a gray shirt with burgundy sleeves, a jean jacket with gray soft sleeves and a white beanie with blue anchors on it. Sabrina went on.
"What's your opinion on sexuality?" I stopped. Why is she asking this? "It's just something in the world. What do you mean. Like do you mean a certain type of sexuality or just in general?" I asked looking at her.
"I mean like people liking the same gender sexuality." She fumbled with her hands. I sat down on my bed to think about it.
"Well, it's nothing bad. I don't find a problem with it but other people might." I said. "Other people like mom and dad?" Sabrina asked unsurely.
What?
"What are you talking about about and why do you want to know?" I asked. "Um, well. I was just wondering. Cuz kids at my school are talking about it and such." She said smoothing out her pajama shirt.
"Um. Okay." I hesitated. "I'll see you in a bit." Sabrina said biting her lip and leaving. That was weird. I choose to ignore it and got dressed. I finished getting ready for school and Terrence and I started walking.
"Do you know what's wrong with Sabrina?" I asked him. "No what do you mean?" He puzzled. "I don't know. She was asking weird questions." I shrugged. "What type of questions?" Terrence said getting off his skateboard and walking.
I did the same so we could stay at the same pace. "Questions about sexuality and such." I said. "Oh. Maybe something at her school." Terrence suggested.
"Yeah. That's what she said when I asked her about it." I sighed. "Well who knows. She'll crack eventually." Terrence shrugged.
-------------------------------------------------------
We got to school and Terrence and I went our separate ways. Where do I go? I looked around for a bit then decided to go to my locker.
Once I finally found it, I opened it and took out papers for English. Then I remembered. I have class with all of them at one point.
Guess I'll just have to try my best to avoid them.
I got my supplies and I sat on the floor. "Hi, your Hazel, right?" I looked up to see a girl with strawberry blonde hair. She was wearing a gray and white striped shirt with a bubblegum pink skirt and brass bracelets. Her shoes were gray sandals. She opened her locker and pulled out a bubblegum pink clutch.
"Uh, yeah." I said looking up. The girl sat down beside me criss-cross. I think I've seen her somewhere. "Do I know you or something?" I asked. "I'm in your science class. My name's Melanie." She stuck out her hand. I shook it.
"Where are you friends? Don't you hang out with your boyfriend Bryan and the rest of them?" She asked. "Well, yeah we're friends it's just some things aren't going well." I shrugged.
"Oh. Hopefully everything gets better. Do you have someone to sit with?" Melanie asked. "No." I shook my head. "You can sit with me. I mean, I don't have any friends." She frowned. "Why not? You seem so... friendly." I said trying to look for the words. Melanie noticed.
