*Mars' POV*
"Here you go." Adrianna said handing me a McDonald's bag as she climbed in the car. I took out a box of chicken nuggets and gave them to Delilah.
We were in the McDonald's parking lot sitting in Adrianna's car. We went to McDonald's because it was the only food we could afford. It was around 3:30 pm. I didn't go to school. I didn't want to. With Hazel, Bryan and Olivia and my feelings. It was too much.
"Thanks, Adrianna." Delilah smiled as I gave her the barbecue dipping sauce. I gave Adrianna the box of fries and I took out two cheeseburgers. I'm hungry. "Are you gonna go to school?" I asked Adrianna as I bit into my cheeseburger.
She shook her head. "Yeah. Do you wanna come?" I shook my head no. I don't wanna go to any school. "Okay. What about you Delilah?" Adrianna asked. "Sure! That'd be fun!" Delilah smiled. "Okay." Adrianna said.

I was walking around our growing town of Aldcrest, when I got a text. It was Ryan.
Ryan_dooood: Hey you going to the party Friday?
Mars: Yes
I didn't feel like talking
Ryan_dooood: K. Where r you. You didn't come to school.
I didn't answer. I only told Grant where I was and no one else. I didn't want them on my back. They shouldn't worry about me. I can take care of myself. I'm fine.
Another message.
Ryan_dooood: If you don't wanna talk about it. That's fine. Just be safe.
Read 6:30I continued to walk around town. I'm bored. Adrianna took Delilah with her so I have nothing to do. I walked down the sidewalk for a bit when I heard a voice.
"Mars?"
I knew the voice. I turn around to see Buddy. I gave off a weak smile. "Hey." I waved. I looked to his hand. He was holding a duffle bag. He noticed my stare. "Don't worry. We didn't hurt anyone." I tilted my head. I've known The Pack for a while. What he said was clearly a lie.
"We didn't hurt anyone...badly." He frowned. I gave off an irritated sigh. "Look." Buddy started. "Your parents were loyal. We try to go by what they suggested. It's just th—"
"That you guys need help. That you guys can't because Junior never liked my parents so he refuses to go by my parents. Whatever." I spat. I loved these guys as family. It's just they needed a better approach on getting money.
"What are you doing?" Buddy asked. I shook my head. "Wanna come? It'll get your mind off things." Buddy held up the duffle bag. I looked him in his eyes.
I didn't know if I wanted to go with him. Get in trouble. Probably get killed. But it wouldn't matter. Because my boys at school don't care.
Around the corner, I could hear police sirens. Buddy pulled a gun out of his pocket and threw it to me. "Let's go. I'm off schedule. Junior, Trent and Sand are at the curb in the car. We need a better driver." Buddy shrugged.
I've been in this game before. I was a getaway driver. Only because I was a fast enough driver, I knew what I was doing and knew where I was going. And they didn't want me to get hurt. I gripped the gun handle tighter. "Hurry." Buddy said running the opposite way I was going. I ran after him. To the corner.
Where the rest of the guys were.
To the car.
To the hang out.
To get money.
To possibly getting in trouble.
To possibly getting killed.
