*Hazel's POV*
It was now the end of the day. I got my skateboard from the office then headed to Grant and Ryan's locker to meet with the boys. "Hey hey!" Andrew said when he saw me. "Hey!" I say back. "So I was thinking that sometime this week we all go and show Hazel the town." Grant said stuffing his books in his locker.
"I'm down." Ryan said. "Me too." Andrew raised his hand. "I'm in." I said. "I'll go." Mars counted himself in too. "Then it's set. Don't forget to bring money everyone. See you guys tomorrow." Grant said. "Let's go, Ryan." Grant said while Ryan followed him. "Alright I'll see you guys tomorrow. I got practice." Andrew waved goodbye.
"Do you walk home?" Mars asked me as we walked through the hallway. "Yeah. I have an older brother who goes here. We walk to school together but walk home separately. We don't like to wait for each other." I said looking around the school again. "Cool. I walk home to." Mars smiled that we had something in common.
"So what do you like to do on your free time?" Mars asked me as they walked out the school. "I really like to make music." I said thoughtfully. "Like lyrics and stuff?" Mars asked. "No I like to DJ." I corrected him. Mars gasped. "So you could like throw some sick beats at a party!" He laughed and I laughed along with them.

I walked in the front door finally coming home. "Hi, Hazel!" Sabrina said from the kitchen table. "Can you believe it! On my first day I already have homework!" She exaggerated. "I have to work on a project on my first day." I say setting my skateboard near the front door. I didn't see Terrence's skateboard so I guess he's not here yet. I went to the fridge to find a snack to have while doing my homework. I ended up getting some Ritz crackers and went to my room.
I sat on my bed and pulled out my phone. I scrolled through my contacts until I found Mars. I FaceTimed him because I thought it would be best. The phone rang about three times until he answered. "Hey." Mars answered. He was sitting on his bed with a computer near him.
"Wanna start the project?" I asked. I got a shoe and set it on my bed to prop my phone on it. "Totally. You got a computer?" He asked showing me his. "Yeah." I got up and walked over to my desk with my DJ set and grabbed my laptop. My grandparents gave this all to me when we moved out here.
I sat back on my bed and showed him mine. "Here it is." It was a red laptop with the 'DELL' logo on it. "Looks nice." Mars said. "The paper had said that we have to write a interview about the person." he got out the page from language arts class. "It's basically like getting to know each other." I simplified. "Pretty much." He smiled. "Do you have Google Documents?" Mars started typing on his computer. "Yeah." I said looking through my computer just to make sure.
"Okay. So we can share a document and have facts about each other on there." Mars said. "I'll send you a document. I just need your email." Mars looked up. I gave him my email and he started typing and in a few seconds a document was shared with me.
I clicked on it. "Alright so first I'm going to need your full name." Mars said typing in: 'Full Name:' on the document.
"Hazel Elizabeth Deven." I watched as he typed that in. "What's your full name?" I asked typing in 'Full Name:' under my category. "Mars Neil Rodriguez." He said watching me type that in. "Mmm, favorite color is red." He said typing a category for that. "And yours is?" I asked. "Definitely blue." He said. I typed that in. "Biggest moment in your life?" He asked looking at the paper.
"The house fire." I said. He typed that in with a category. "Yours is about your parents...?" I asked trailing off towards the subject.
"Yeah." His eyes got sad. I typed it in slowly. With each letter typed it seemed like his eyes got more sad. "Um, favorite animal?" I said trying to remember the paper and trying to lift his spirit. "A lion." He perked up. "Mine's a polar bear." I laughed. "Polar bears are amazing." he laughed. We both typed in each other's favorite animal.
Then in the background I could hear someone come in the room. "Mars, it's lunch. You need to come to the lunch hall. Your sister is waiting." The lady came into my view and she was wearing a white dress with a red plus side on right sleeve. Was he in a hospital? I thought to myself.
"But I'm doing homework." he looked from me to the lady. "Mars you need come eat. Off now." The lady stood there. "Fine." Mars sighed. "I got to go, Hazel. We can continue it later. See you tomorrow." Mars said looking a bit disappointed.
"Okay. I'll talk to you tomorrow." I smiled at him. He smiled back. "Bye." He hung up the call and on the computer his icon left. I closed out the document and shut my computer.
I'll see him tomorrow.
