*Hazel's POV*

I walked up to the group with Melanie and Kyle. "Hey guys." I smiled. "Where's Bryan?" Kyle asked. "Don't know he said he had a surprise for all of us." Ryan shrugged.

"Okay." Melanie said. "Hazel, can I borrow your math homework?" Ryan asked. "Fine." I smirked pulling out the paper and giving it to him.

Suddenly everyone in the hallway started talking louder. We turned to see what happened. It was Bryan. Typical.

But something looked different on everyone's face. Sort of confused and happy. Next thing I see is Melanie squeal. "MARS!!!"

Mars!

Bryan then pulled someone through the crowd. He was wearing a black sweater. It was him. "MARS!!!" We all shout. "Guess who I found?" Bryan smiled.

"Hi." Mars waved with a weak smile. He seemed sad still. "Where have you been!" Ryan asked. Mars looked at Bryan and he nodded.

"I was out on the streets. A few weeks ago Adrianna, Delilah and I left the orphanage in the middle of the night. So we've been living in Anna's car.

"And I was feeling so many things and I couldn't sort them out so I drove for The Pack and then I got caught by the police and I still couldn't get things out of my head.

"So I didn't come to school because I was mad, sad, angry and I felt depressed a bit. But then Bryan talked to me yesterday and now I'm back." He rambled.

"Who are they..." Mars gestured. "Melanie and Kyle. They're friends of Hazel. Now they're friends of us." Bryan smiled proudly. "Hi." Mars waved.

"So how is everyone's life?" Mars asked. "Mine's okay." Grant said. "Good." Bryan and Ryan chorused. "Hazel?" Mars asked me.

I felt confused on whether to tell everyone about my mom still in the hospital because that's the only non-good thing in my life at the moment.

"I'm good." I smiled. He smiled back at me weakly. It was as if he was hiding something. I could see physical pain in his eyes.

The bell rang signaling we had to get to class. We all dispersed from the group and went our separate ways.
