*Hazel's POV*
School
It wasn't that bad honestly. Everything was perfectly fine. Bryan and I were dating and we told the boys the other day. I couldn't be happier. I stood with Bryan, Ryan, Andrew and Grant as we waited for Mars to come to school.
"Has anyone seen Mars?" Andrew asked a bit worried. I could see a smirk form at the corner of Grant's lips but Andrew shot it down with a glare. "No has Mars told anyone where he is?" Ryan asked. The group's attention turned to Grant. "He hasn't told me anything." Grant said holding his hands up in defense.
Then Daniella and Jamie came up to us. "Hey, boys." Daniella smiled choosing not to say hi to me. "Does anyone know where Mars' girlfriend is? You know the little feline." Daniella said putting on a fake smile.
We all shook our heads. "Nope, sorry. But have you seen Mars?" Andrew asked. "Um, no. Why is he okay?" Jamie piped up. "Not sure. He's not here and he won't answer his texts." Bryan shrugged.
"Oh, well no I haven't seen Mars. But I'll keep an eye out for you guys." Daniella said smacking her perfectly glossed lips. And with that Daniella and Jamie left. "Surprisingly she didn't hit on anyone." Bryan laughs.
"Girls are weird. Guys are better." Andrew smiled. I narrowed my eyes. Not surprised he'd say that. The bell rang for first period. We all said our goodbyes and left to our classes.
"Hazel," Andrew said as we walked down the hall. "Yes?" I asked. "You know I'm-" "Yeah." I said cutting him off. He didn't seem too confident with his question. "Well, I'm going to tell you something ok." He hesitated. "What is it..." I asked warily.
"I think I have feelings for Bryan and Ryan." He said quickly. "Really." Was all I could say. He nodded his head. "I'm really unsure about my feelings. Like I like Bryan for his looks but I also like Ryan for his personality." Andrew sighed. By this time we had stopped in the hallway, across from our class.
"What do I do?" He pleaded. "Well is Ryan..." I trailed off. "I'm not sure actually." Andrew scratched his neck. "I think you should find out. Because you shouldn't date a guy for his looks. If you think Ryan is good for you, then go for it." I said reassuring.
"Deven, Gustin. Get in here!" I turned my head to see our teacher standing in the doorway. We walked into class to be marked late.

I got home and laid on my bed. I really didn't want to do my homework. Suddenly I felt my phone buzz in my pocket and took it out. I could feel myself smile. It was Bryan.
Bryan<3: Hey
Me: Hey
Bryan: Are you going to Daniella's party?
Me: Not sure. Are you
Bryan: Yeah. If u are wanna go as a couple???
Me: Of course. I'd love too!
Bryan: Cool! Well I gtg to practice rn. See you later <3
Me: See you xx
I closed out messages. I wonder if Delilah would want to come over today. Mars didn't come to school today.
Maybe, he's sick. I opened messages again and went to Mars' and I chat.
Me: Hey, can Delilah come over today? You can too if you want. You weren't at school today. So I wanted to check up on you.
I didn't get an answer till 30 minutes later.
Mars: Sorry can't today. Busy.
Mars: And thnx for checking on me. I'm not sick, just busy.
Me: Ok. See you tomorrow then?
I waited another 30 minutes.
Mars: Not sure. But see you soon I guess
Me: See you soon.
That was weird. If Mars wasn't sick, what would he be doing? Hopefully he isn't ditching or something.
Soon my dad came in my room. "Get ready. We're going to see your mother." He said rather quick. He closed the door and let me be.
Going to see mom again.
Dad, Terrence, Sabrina and I got in the car to go to the hospital.
Room 23. I entered the room to see my mom laying on the bed with tubes in her nose. She was awake. "Mom!" Sabrina said running over. They hugged and Terrence and I joined in. "I thought you were at work?" My mom asked my dad. Smiling but curiosity was in her eyes.
"I got the day off." He smiled giving her a kiss. "Well that's good." My mom beamed. Finally knowing that my dad was getting a day off.
Since he got this job he's been working grave yard shifts and he barely gets to see us except for when he is off. But even then we don't get to see him for odd reasons.
We talked to mom for a bit when she fell silent mid sentence. It was as if someone had pulled a cord on an ongoing TV. "Mom?" Sabrina asked. I could see her eyes go white and cloudy. Then she started shaking. Violently. "MOM!" Terrence yelled.
The doctor came to her side quickly and faster came the nurses. My head was spinning. There were so many things going on at once.
Sabrina was crying, dad was trying get more doctors, there was a repeated beeping noise and Terrence was trying to get Sabrina and I out the room.
Terrence was trying to say something to me. My vision was blurry and his words were nothing but swathed to me. My body had gone numb and suddenly darkness rose upon me.
-------------------------------------------------------
I woke up to a beeping noise. Where was I? Suddenly I remembered. "MOM!" I shouted scared. "Hazel, calm down. Everything's gonna be fine." I heard a voice beside and looked to see who the voice belonged to. Terrence. He was sitting in a chair next to me. And then I realized I was in a hospital bed.
"What happened?" I asked softly. "You fainted." Terrence said. "But you'll be fine. They just need to do a quick check up. Then you'll be out of here." "Alright." I nodded.
The door sung open and a nurse entered with a clipboard. "Alright, Hazel. Glad your up. Ready for your check up?" She smiled. I nodded my head. She then proceeded to look in my ears and check my heart.
After that she wrote some stuff down. "Okay, your all done." Her emerald green eyes beamed. "Thank you." Terrence said as the nurse unhooked me from all the wires. Terrence and I left the room to meet Dad and Sabrina in the lobby.
My dad hugged me. "You okay?" "Yeah." I nodded taking a seat in the waiting room with Sabrina. We sat there for a few moments until a doctor came out.
"Are you the family of Maggie Deven?" He asked. "Yes, is she okay?" My dad assured the doctor. "We have tested her and found a diagnosis." The doctor's face fell a bit. "What's wrong with her?" My dad asked slowly.
The doctor took a deep breathe. "She has Hyperglycemia." "WHAT?!?" Terrence screamed at the top of his lungs. Tears began to form in his eyes. Sabrina and I were confused.
What's Hyperglycemia?
