Chapter 17.

Magnus wasn't laying in his bed when I woke up the next time. The clock was around 8pm and apparently, I have been sleeping for over 3 hours. I could hear music coming from the kitchen so I left the bed and followed the wonderful sound of different tones. In the kitchen, I found Magnus swinging his hips to the beat of the music while cooking something for the two of us.
- I know you're there, Alexander. Are you enjoying the view? Magnus suddenly asked which broke me out of my trance
- Y-you're beautiful, I answered and felt how I blushed like crazy
Magnus turned around and met my gaze. A smile was visible on his lips and I could tell that he wasn't in as much pain as he was earlier today. His nose was still a little bit red though from the horrible meeting with Raphael, but I could tell that it was healing exactly like it should.
- You always make me blush, he said and turned back to the oven where I could catch the sight of pancakes
- I'm just telling you the truth
- Thank you, Alexander
I walked over to where Magnus stood and put my arms around his waist. Since I was a lot taller than him, I could rest my head on one of his shoulders.
- You probably don't want to talk about it, but what did Raphael tell you earlier today down at the coffee shop? I asked and placed a light kiss on his cheek
- He first called me a worthless piece of shit and thereafter he said that he hated me, Magnus answered
- You're not a worthless piece of shit, do you hear me? You're the most amazing person I ever met
- Yeah, he whispered and stared down at the pancakes in the frying pan
- Magnus, I'm serious. For 18 years I have never met someone like you. You're funny, smart and extremely stunning. One look at you and I was lost. I really like you and I want you to know that no matter what, I will always be here for you, I said serious and tightened my grip around Magnus waist
- Alexander, I don't know what to say. I want you to know that I really like you too. I never thought I would find someone who could save me from the hell I was living in, but I was wrong
- We're going to get through this together. Some days are going to be tougher than others, but we'll make it, I answered
Magnus turned around and our eyes met. I don't know for how long time we stared at each other, but it felt like hours. I slowly brought my lips to his and kissed him. Ever kiss that I shared with Magnus felt like our first. I swear, I could hear fireworks and it was like my whole body started tingling with emotions.
- I'm going to burn the pancakes if you keep kissing me like that, Magnus said when we broke the kiss to breathe
- I'm sorry, but I can't stop. You're just so irresistible, I answered which made Magnus laugh that adorable laugh of his
I really didn't want to stop kissing him, but since I was starving and like he said, the pancakes were going to get burned if I didn't let him concentrate, I decided to make the table instead. 20 minutes later, Magnus and I sat beside each other around the dinner table and enjoyed the amazing pancakes Magnus made.
- Where did you learn how to cook like this? I asked and almost moaned because of the wonderful taste
- A friend of mine learned me when were only kids. Since Raphael didn't usually cook, I had to learn it myself
- Are you still friends with her/him?
- Her name is Dorothea and honestly, I don't know. I haven't really heard from her in a while, Magnus answered
- Well, her loss. Just like I already have told you, you're amazing
- What about you? I have already met Simon and I have heard a little bit about this Maia. Do you have other friends? Magnus asked
- You have already met Clary, and I guess that she's a friend of mine. I don't really have a lot of friends since I always have been hanging around with my siblings, I answered and signed
- Are Jace and Izzy your only siblings?
- No. We have a little brother too. His name is Max, I said and smiled
God, I miss my little brother so much that it hurts, but because of my homophobic father, I can't visit him.
- He must be proud over you, Alexander. In my opinion, you're an amazing role model, Magnus said
- Thank you
When the two of us had finished our breakfast and cleaned the table, we walked together into the living room where we sat down beside each other. The clock was close to 10pm but no one of us really cared. Honestly, we just enjoyed each other's company.
- Dammit, I forgot to study for my math test tomorrow, I said when we had been sitting in silence for a while
- Oh my dear Alexander. This is all my fault. If Raphael hadn't beat me up, you wouldn't have gotten distracted
- Magnus, it's not your fault. I'm just being lazy, okay? I answered
- Yeah
We continued to sit in silence for a while before I decided it was time to go to bed. I stood up from the couch and stretched out one of my hands to help Magnus up.
- Do you m-maybe want to come and sleep with m-me? I stuttered
- Alexander, I would love to, he answered and smiled at me
I walked into my room while Magnus walked into his so he could change into his pyjamas. 10 minutes later, we were laying beside each other on my bed. Our legs were crossed with each other's and I had my arms around his shirtless torso.
- Can I ask you something? Magnus suddenly asked
- Of course, I answered
- Do you ever regret taking me in? I mean, if you could go back in time, would you still come and look for me that day?
- What are you taking about? Of course I would still come and look for you and don't you ever think that I regret taking you in because that's one of the best decisions I've ever done, I answered
- That means a lot, really. Thank you so much, Alexander. With you, I finally feel happy again, Magnus said
- That's really good to hear
We kissed for maybe the hundred time today and even if I was exhausted and just wanted to sleep, the kiss made me smile.
- Goodnight, Magnus, I whispered and kissed his cheek one last time
