Chapter 69.

Alexander and I was walking down the streets of New York. The clock was almost 9pm, but no one of us wanted to return back to our apartment, at least not yet. I still couldn't believe that Alec actually had bought me a ring and wanted to make a promise that if I still wanted him in a couple of years, he would go down on one knee and ask me to marry him. I had to look at the ring every other minute to let myself know that I wasn't dreaming, that this actually was happening. The ring wasn't too special, but it was so extremely beautiful that it made my eyes go watery every time I look at it. It was almost impossible for me not to smile as my eyes cane across the stunning silver jewellery that adorned my finger.
- You're so beautiful when you smile, Alec breathed out and I could feel how his gaze was locked on me
- Alexander, I answered and felt how my whole face turned red
- What? I'm just telling you the truth
We didn't stop walking for a while, but it didn't matter since it wasn't cold outside. Our hands had found each other a long time ago and they only thing that could be heard was the sound of cars in the distance. Words weren't necessary at the moment because even though no one of us said anything, the both of us knew exactly how the other one felt. My heart was still racing from the excitement of watching Alexander place the beautiful promise ring on my finger and even though I don't want to admit it, I could still feel how my legs were shaking. As we finally reached the building where we lived, we walked together to the elevator and pressed the button that would take us to the seventh floor. The elevator ride was short and only a few minutes later, we walked through the front door of our apartment, still holding each other's hands.
- Do you want something do drink? Alec asked and smiled at me
- Sure, I answered
- Put on a movie and I'll be right back with some hot cocoa
I watched Alec leave for the kitchen and when I couldn't see him anymore, I did what he said and turned on the TV. Netflix was already opened since it's pretty much the only thing we watch, so I looked through all of the movies for a while until I decided that Harry Potter was an excellent choice since we both are huge nerds when it comes to things like this. It didn't take long time until Alexander returned from the kitchen with two mugs of hot cocoa that he placed down on the table and after that, he sat down beside me and I placed a blanket over our bodies.
- What are we watching? He asked and put on of his arms around me
- Take a wild guess, I answered
- Harry Potter?
- Duh
- Perfect, Alec answered
The movie started and for a long while, no one of us said anything. Instead we sat there, holding onto each other like the other would disappear if we would let go. Our hot cocoas were gone for a long time ago and our mugs stood empty beside each other on the table.
- This is the saddest part of the whole movie, I said and felt how my heart almost broke into pieces
- It's just a movie, Alec answered and let out a beautiful chuckle
- I know, but it still breaks my heart every time, I said and laughed
Suddenly, I felt how Alexander pressed his lips against my neck which sent shivers down my spine. As he started sucking on my sensitive skin, I couldn't keep myself from letting out a quiet moan.
- Alexander, I stuttered and felt how I blushed for the second time today
- What? He asked with that annoying teasing voice of his
- I'm trying to watch the movie
- I know, but I thought that we could do something fun at the same time, Alec whispered and his lips wandered up to my jaw
Before I could answer, Alec had placed himself on top of me and his lips were once again pressed against my neck, leaving visible marks.
- You're seriously going to be the death of me, I breathed out
- If you don't kill me first with your sexy body, Alec answered
To shut him up, I roughly pressed my lips against his in a heated, but also very passionate, kiss.
- I love you so much, I whispered when we broke the kiss for air
- I love you too, Magnus
We kissed about one hundred times before we returned our attention to the movie that was still playing.
- Can I ask you something? I said after a while of silence
- Anything, Alexander answered
- The thing that you said earlier today, that you would go down on one knee and ask me to marry you, would you really do that?
- Of course. I love you more than anything and if I wouldn't be 18 years old, I would have proposed to you as fast as we got together
- Really? I asked chocked and felt how hot tears started to me their way down my cheeks
- Really, Alec answered
