Chapter 27.

Alexander had already left for class when I woke up the next morning. The clock was around 10am and since I don't start my shift down at Pandemonium until 8pm tonight, I decided to stay in bed, at least for one more hour. If I'm going to be honest, I felt a lot happier than I have done in ages. It was amazing to meet Dorothea again and if Robert Lightwood, the best lawyer of New York, wins this case for me, Raphael is going to jail. Seriously, can my life get any better? If Raphael would end up behind bars, I would never have to be scared again. I would be able to walk around in the city of New York and actually feel safe. For 19 years, I have been afraid of someone that doesn't even deserve my tears and now, I can finally get rid of him. Is it time to celebrate or what? Fine, I know that I shouldn't take out my victory too early, but I really do have faith in Alexander's dad. I mean, he is the best after all. Anyways, after about one more hour of just laying alone in my bed, staring up at the ceiling, I decided that it was time for a hot shower. I stood up, walked into the bathroom, undressed and thereafter, I stepped into the shower and turned on the hot water and felt how it streamed down my body. Ever since I have been a kid, I have always loved taking showers. I think it's mostly because in the shower, Raphael couldn't hurt me, but also because it's so relaxing just standing there, feeling how the water calms down every nerve on your body. I also loving singing in the shower. That's right. I'm a 19 years old teenager from Brooklyn who loves to sing in the shower. Boyfriend material, am I right? Well, I guess Alec thinks that because otherwise he wouldn't be together with me. 30 minutes later, I stepped out of the shower and immediately felt much colder. I dressed in my favourite pair of grey sweatpants and a white t-shirt that I usually worse when I was home alone. I don't know why, but I didn't really feel comfortable wearing light colours. It made me look a lot paler that I actually was, and I always felt so much fatter. Is that weird? When I felt satisfied with my look for my day in front of the TV, I walked into the living room and sat down on the comfortable couch. I turned on my favourite TV show and I swear to the angels, just when it started getting exiting, someone knocked on the front door. Dammit, now what? I walked over to the door and carefully opened it.
- I can't believe I actually found you
- Dot? I asked and felt extremely confused. How the hell did she find me? I don't recall remembering that I told her exactly where I live.
- Surprise, she said and smiled
- How did you find me? I asked and opened the door a lot more so she could steep into the dorm
- Well, you told me that you were staying at your boyfriends dorm and since your boyfriend is Alexander Lightwood, I just had to ask where the only Lightwood at this college lives, Dorothea answered
- You're crazy
- What can I say? I wanted to see you again because honestly, you're kinda my only friend, she said
- Does it make you feel any better if I say that you're kinda my only friend too? I asked which made her laugh out loud
- A lot better, she answered
We walked together back to the couch and sat down beside each other. It felt nice to see her again, even if I met her yesterday. I guess you can say that 3 years apart really makes you miss someone.
- So, where is the famous Alexander Lightwood that stole your heart? Dorothea asked after a while
- Probably in math class, I said and tried not to sigh way too loud
- And if I would make a wild guess, I would say that you miss him?
- I always miss him, Dot. Just waking up without him, knowing that he isn't laying beside me, it's horrible, I answered
- Wow, you really are in love
- Yeah, or I have the flu
- By the angel, Magnus. You haven't changed at all. Still the same old guy who always puts a smile on my lips, Dot said and laughed
- I try my best to impress
- Any new gossip for me?
- Actually, yes. Alec told me yesterday that his dad, Robert Lightwood, is taking up a case against Raphael. If we win, Raphael will end up in prison, I said
- WHAT? MAGNUS, THAT'S WONDERFUL, Dot screamed
- I know
- Well, let me tell you this, Magnus Bane. You have absolutely nothing to worry about. Robert Lightwood truly is the best lawyer in the city of New York. He's going to win this case and put Raphael behind bars, where he belongs
- I don't think I ever felt this happy, Dorothea. If Raphael ends up in prison, I can finally feel completely safe, I said and smiled at my friend in front of me

Dorothea stayed with me for the rest of the day. We ate lunch together and when the clock hit 2pm, we were sprawled across the living room floor, laughing because of some stupid joke I said about 15 minutes ago. I know, real mature. Just as my stomach finally stopped hurting from all the laughter, the front door to the dorm opened and Alec walked in.
- Magnus, what are you doing on the floor? He asked with a raised eyebrow
- Honestly, no idea, I answered which made Dot laugh even more
Alexander looked at her with a confused facial expression and I could tell that he had no idea who she was.
- Alec, this is Dorothea, I said and finally stood up from the floor
- It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Alexander. I have heard so much about you. Only good things, of course, Dot said as she also stood up from the floor
- It's a pleasure to meet you too. Friends of Magnus are friends of mine, Alexander answered and smiled at her
- Well, I think I should go. You guys have probably missed each other too much for one day, so I'll leave you alone, Dot said
She gave me a quick hug, said goodbye to Alec and thereafter, she left the dorm.
- She seems lovely, Alexander said and walked towards me
- Not as lovely as you, my dear, I answered and kissed him on the lips
- I don't think you even can imagine how happy I am that you're happy
- That huge grin on your face makes it a lot easier to realise, I said and laughed
We kissed one more time and I could feel how Alec placed his hands in my hair. God, if he only knew what it did to me.
- How was class today? I asked when we broke the kiss for air
- Boring, as usual, Alec answered and rolled his beautiful eyes
- Sounds amazing
- You don't know the half of it. How was your day? Were you with Dot the whole time I was gone? Alexander asked
- Something like that, yes
- Are you exited for your shift down at Pandemonium tonight?
- Not really. There always this drunk guy there who tries to flirt with me every time. He never gives up, not even after I told him that I was rather fucking a rat than fucking him, I answered
- Well, lets see if he dares to flirt with you tonight while I'm there, Alec said and smirked at me
- You're a horrible person, did you know that? You're probably going to kill him
- Maybe
- Oh god, I answered and laughed
- Hearing you laugh is seriously my favourite thing to do, Alec said
- Who are you, and what have you done to Alexander Lightwood?
- What do you mean? He asked and looked rather confused
- You weren't this cheesy when I talked to you for the first time, I answered
- That's because I didn't know you. Seriously, you could have been a 45 years old man who wanted to rape me?
- I thought you wanted that? I said which made Alec laugh out loud
- Oh yeah, because that's my biggest kink. Nothing turns me on more than a 45 years old man who's trying to rape me
- And I thought I was weird
- You are weird, but that's why I love you, Alec answered and smiled
- I love you too, you pervert. Now, we should probably eat something before me head down to Pandemonium, I said
- Yeah, probably
It ended with that while I was in my room, changing to my working clothes, Alexander cooked us some dinner. When I returned to the kitchen, Alec was already sitting around the table in a pair of black jeans and a grey shirt that in made opinion, made him look hot. Just like Alexander, I was wearing a pair of black jeans. Mine were just a little bit tighter than his. To my black jeans, I was wearing a dark red t-shirt. Nothing to lazy and nothing to fancy.
- You're looking amazing, as always, Alexander said and blushed when I sat down beside him
- So are you, my dear
When we had finished the dinner Alec made, we left the dorm and thereafter, we walked side by side down to Pandemonium. Outside the nightclub, we met Clary and Jace who waited for us.
- Hello there. How are you guys doing? Jace asked and smiled at us
- Perfect, Alec answered
Clary walked over to me and hugged me like her life depended on it.
- How are you? She whispered
- A lot better, thank you so much, I whispered back and felt so happy that she cares so much about me
The four of us walked together into the nightclub and thereafter, I kissed Alec goodbye and walked over to the bar with Clary by my side.
- How long shift do you have today? She asked when we arrived at the bar
- 5 hours, what about you? I answered
- Same as you
The night was pretty boring for a long while. We had a lot of customers that craved a lot of attention, but from time to time, I found myself staring at Alexander who sat a few tables away with Jace. They both laughed a lot and it made me extremely happy to see that my boyfriend was enjoying himself.
- Look what the cat dragged back from the dead. Isn't it my favourite bartender?
Oh yeah, can't forget about Camille who loves to cause me pain as much as possible.
- Why are you here, Camille? I asked and rolled my eyes
- This is my favourite nightclub in New York. Besides, the bartenders here are extremely hot, she answered and smiled
- I'm flattered, really. Now, go away and let me do my job
- I love when you go all bossy on me, Magnus. It's so freaking hot
- Do you want something to drink, or are you just here to annoy me? I asked
- A little bit of both, she answered
- Great
- Do you know what I would like more than those two alternatives? You, naked, in my bed. How does that sound? Camille said and smirked
- Horrible
- Admit it, Magnus. You want me, more than you want to admit
- Look, I don't want to start a fight with you, but I don't want you here, I said
- Don't be silly, sweetheart. You love my company and you know it
I was just about to answer when I voice from behind talked instead.
- What are not understanding? He doesn't want you here. Get lost
By the angel, Alexander. Couldn't you just sit with Jace and let me handle this?
- And who are you? Camille asked and rolled her eyes at Alec
- I'm his boyfriend
- Boyfriend? I don't think so. Maybe you haven't realised it sweetie, but Magnus Bane doesn't do relationships
- Well, he does now and if you have a problem with it, I would recommend that you deal with it, Alec answered
- Aren't you adorable? You better get ready to have your heart broken, because Magnus isn't going to stay with you for that long. No, he fucks you and then he leaves before you wake up, Camille said
- Camille, that's enough. Leave now or I'll call the cops, I said and looked at her with angry eyes
- You haven't seen the last of me, Bane, she answered and thereafter, she left
- Isn't she lovely? I asked and rolled my eyes
- Oh yeah, what a catch, Alec answered
- Look, I'm sorry for her. She's an idiot
- Don't worry, Maggie. I'm not afraid of her. Besides, I'm hotter than her
- You're damn right about that. Now, go back to Jace because I have a work to do and you keep distancing me with those beautiful eyes of yours, I said
- Fine, but I'll  keep an eye on you, Magnus Bane. I love you
