Chapter 54.

I was back in math class and trust me when I'm saying this, it was more boring that it ever has been. Only 30 minutes has passed and I already want to open the window and jump, that's how fucking boring it is. Magnus left for work this morning before me, which made this day even worse because then I didn't get the chance to kiss him good morning. Well, one positive thing about this day is that we're going to meet down at the coffee shop that Magnus used to work at. It was our first date in a long time and it felt nice to spend some time with each other outside of my college dorm. We haven't really had the chance to go on dates in the last couple of days because both of us have had a lot of things to deal with, like classes and work. Well, I can't really complain because in 3 weeks, I'll graduate from college and I can finally take Magnus with me and move into a nice apartment where we can spend the rest of our lives together. Wait, is that weird? Anyways, when I finally was done with math class and the rest of my classes for the day, I walked back to my room where I quickly changed my clothes. I got a text 5 minutes ago from Magnus, saying that he wouldn't make it back to the dorm, but he would meet me at the coffee shop instead. I grabbed my wallet and phone and after that, I left my dorm. It took me about 20 minutes to reach the little coffee shop downtown and as I walked through the front door, Jocelyn smiled at me. I walked up to the counter and gave her a quick hug.
- It's so nice to see you, Alec. How are you doing? She asked and the smile didn't leave her lips
- I'm doing absolutely perfect, what about you? I answered and smiled back
- More than perfect, she said
I ordered two coffees, one for me and one for my amazing boyfriend. Thereafter, I sat down around a table that was placed in the corner of the shop. Mostly because I didn't like to sit in the middle where everyone could look at me, but also because it was more comfortable. Seconds turned into minutes and as I waited for Magnus to arrive, I checked my phone, but nothing. I started to get worried that something might have happened, but when I suddenly saw Magnus outside the shop, I felt how my heart stopped beating unhealthy fast. A smile appeared on my lips but just as fast as it came, it disappeared. Magnus wasn't alone out there and when I saw the familiar face of Camille, one of his old one night stands that seems to refuse to leave him alone, I felt angry. What were they doing together, and why did Magnus look so happy? I was just about to stand up and walk out to them and defend my boyfriend if this little bitch was being annoying again, just like she was down at Pandemonium that one time, but I immediately changed my mind just as I saw how Camille pressed her lips against Magnus. My heart stopped beating for a couple of seconds and it felt like my whole world came crushing down at once. I didn't have to look at myself in a mirror to understand that tears had started to make their way down my cheeks and every time I breathed, it felt heavier and more impossible. I quickly stood up from the chair I was sitting on and at the same time, I accidentally spilled out all of the coffee that I had in front of me, but honestly, I couldn't care less. All I wanted was to get the fuck away from this place as fast as possible. I ran straight up to the counter where Jocelyn stood and when she saw the tears that still streamed down my cheeks, she looked at me with a worried facial expression.
- Does this place has a back door? I asked with a shaky voice
- Yes, what happened? Jocelyn answered but it was like I couldn't hear her
All I could think of was how Camille pressed her lips against my boyfriend and how Magnus didn't even seem affected by it. Had they done this before? Making out behind my back?
- Where is the back door? I said and tried to keep myself together
- Over there, Jocelyn said and I could tell that she was going to keep talking, but I started running in the direction where she pointed. I reached a door and when I opened it, I ended up outside the coffee shop. I took one deep breath and after that, I started running back to my dorm. It didn't took me that long time, mostly because I was running faster than I ever have done and as I reached my dorm, I locked the door and ran straight into my bedroom where I threw myself down on my bed. How could Magnus do this? Doesn't he love me? With that last thought, I fell asleep, tears still making their way down my cheeks.
