Chapter 39.

Alexander and I was sitting beside each other on the airplane that would take us all the way to Italy. Since we both needed a break from the city of New York, we decided that a trip to Europe would he the perfect way to relax.
- Are you excited? Alec suddenly asked after a while of comforting silence
- Very, especially since I never in my whole life have left U.S.A
- Have you never left America?
- No, I have never been brave enough to cross the borders, I answered
- Then it will be an honour to take you to the lovely place called Europe, Alec said
He pressed a light kiss on my cheek and after that, he took my hand in his. The plane ride was about 7 hours and when we finally arrived in Italy, I had been sleeping for most of the time. We found our bags pretty quickly and thereafter, a taxi from the hotel that Alexander had booked picked us up.
- How much money did you spend on this trip? I asked chocked and looked at Alec when I could see how the enormous hotel came into view
- Don't worry about the money, Magnus. Besides, you deserve all of this
Let me just say that when I saw the room that we were staying in, I almost shit myself. Never in my 19 years have I ever seen something as beautiful and perfect as this hotel room. It was huge and absolutely stunning.
- Wow, I whispered
- Do you like it? Alec asked and put his arms around my waste
- Like it? I love it, I answered
As an answer, Alexander smiled at me which lead to the fact that I couldn't stop myself from pressing a kiss on his extremely beautiful lips.
- I love you so much and thanks for bringing me here, I said when the two of us broke the kiss for air
- I love you too, Magnus
We kissed one more time and after that, we decided to unpack our bags in the bedroom that we were going to share. Since the clock already was 9pm and the two of us were beyond jetlag, we ordered up room service and ate our dinner on the floor in front of the fireplace that was placed in the living room.
- Can I ask you something? Alec asked when we finally had finish our dinner
- Of course, what is it?
- If you could do anything different between us, would you do it?
- Yes, I answered
- What would you do? He asked and I could tell that he was nervous about the answer that I was going to say
- I would kiss you a lot earlier
- Really?
- Really, I answered and smiled at the wonderful man in front of me
- That's good to hear, Alec said and I could tell that he was blushing
- What about you? Would you want to change anything between us? I asked
- Absolutely not. Fine, our relationship has been a rollercoaster, but I wouldn't want it any other way
- Maybe a rollercoaster relationship is what everyone needs, I said
- Yeah, maybe, Alexander answered
We sat on the floor for about one more hour and just talked about everything and nothing. It's been a long time since I have felt this happy and relaxed, and it was all because of Alec. Honestly, I don't think I ever would survive without him. Alexander Lightwood has been my rock ever since I met him for the first time and if I would lose him, I would lose a part of myself, because that's how important he is to me.
- Do you maybe want to go to bed? Alec asked after a while
- Yeah, that sounds like a good idea
We walked together into the bathroom where we got ready for the night and then, we laid down beside each other on the worlds most comfortable bed.
- Are all the beds this comfortable in Europe? I said and laughed
- Oh yeah, Alec answered and smiled
We kissed for the third time this evening and when we pulled away for air, Alexander pulled me closer to his body.
- Goodnight, he whispered in my ear which sent shivers down my spine
- Goodnight, I whispered back
