Her eyes widened in shock, and she staggered back in surprise. Ohmygod, tell me she feels the same. I awkwardly glanced at her as she stared at me with an "are you crazy?" look. Julia please, she just had to feel the same way. She opened her mouth and gave an unexpected response that tore me apart.

"But, I don't love you."

"W-What?" I breathe, as my voice cracked.

"Mike, I've been over you for awhile now. You're too late," She whispered.

I was shattered. It was like someone ripped my heart out and crushed it, and it can never be the same again."Why...Why don't you feel the same?" That question stayed in my head, and filled me with curiousity.

"Mike, don't get me wrong, you're an amazing friend. But you lost your chance. I thought we decided to be friends!" Her voice was raised, in a tone of stress.

"I know. I know we agreed that we're better off as friends, but that was November, Julia. November. Things have changed. That tiny crush I always had on you developed into a huge love. I'm in love of you, Julia Tennant."

Julia remained silent, sighing and rubbing her forehead. I can't believe it. What ever happened to that special connection we have?-Well had.

"It's good enough to make me wanna fall in love," I grumbled under my breath. Wait, fuck. I said that out loud. Shit.

"Are you saying that it's my fault that you fell in love with me?" Julia narrowed her eyes, crossing her arms. I stared at her in silence.

"It's not my fault you chose to love this horrifying human being over here! I don't even know what you see in me, Mike!" She snapped, pointing to herself.

"Horrifying? Horrifying?! You think you're horrifying?!" I exclaimed and she quietly nodded. I scoffed. "You? Julia Tennant, you are fucking flawless. I fell in love with you because you are unique. You're beautiful, Julia. You're like my other half!"

Julia looked aggravated. "No, I'm not Mike! I'm not!" I can feel a tear stroll down my face. I wiped it quickly before she could notice. I didn't wipe it that quick and she seemed to see it. I can see the pain in her facial expression.

"Why is it too late? Why?!" I yelled, my hands clenching into a fist.

Julia didn't even budge to answer until I yelled again, causing her to flinch.

"Because there's someone else!" She screamed back, waving her arms in the air. That even broke me more. I've been replaced. My fingernails dug into the palm of my hand. I could feel the anger spread out through me. I could explode.

"Who is it?" I muttered.

She snapped, "None of your business." I seemed a bit offended that she wouldn't tell me. I'm one of her friends, regardless! When I find out, so help me god-

I heard Julia sigh. "It's...it's Rory."

Now I was furious.

Rory Zales? Out of all people, Rory?!

"Rory?!" I yelled. "Look Mike, please calm dow-"

"He's nice now." She mumbled.
