poetry about.
you're the star that stands out
in a sparkling sky
or the very being that you are,
that separates you from this planet
and whole galaxies.
you're someone's favorite songs
all the little melodies
and harmonies,
you're the person
people make nice playlists with
nice songs for,
when they've run out of their own words to say.
and truly,
i'm not going to compare you
to a garden
or sunset
because were never just something
breathtaking to look at,
you were the blood that ran through my veins
you kept me alive.
