dear astronaut,
do you like space?
not the kind that you say you need when you're in a relationship,
or the kind that you have between someone when you're sitting beside them
but the kind that you explore.
the stars,
and the lack of oxygen,
the planets,
and the wide open nothing that is :
space
does it give you some kind of revelation?
an epiphany of some sort?
maybe a reflection over life?
maybe you own life?
does it give you peace?
being so, so far away,
from the blue and green (maybe brown)
that you call home?
is it odd?
being completely detached,
from something that's held you down for so long?
what's it like?
being out,
of the atmosphere
does it make you sad?
scared?
or amazed?
left with nothing to say?
i wanna be out,
in the empty, nothingness
i'd like to be at peace with the universe—
