My heart literally stopped when I heard the gun go off. But it was only ones so she should be fine right?
"I'm going after" I mutter and leave before the rest of them can protest. "guys I made it" Ceylon yells down at us and even waves casually. Well at least she made it without to much trouble.
"Ceylon hurry up" Jessica yells at her and I have to suppress the urge to roll my eyes. She always knows how to run Cey the wrong way. Well she can that to all of us but Cey and Aaliya are her main targets.
"And to think you almost would have stormed that place for nothing" Emme jokes at me and I give her a small push "zip it smartass" I retort back but it only makes her giggle, she sounds so cute and young when she does that.
A few seconds later Ceylon comes running out of the building "missed me" she pants but still manages to grin at us, another smartass...
"Like sand" Riley deadpans making us all laugh not only at the joke but the fact she actually made one, she never joked, though she understands humor unlike some of us.
"What did you find?"
"Something on the horizon that way" she points at some vague shadow in the distance "I think it's some kind of bridge, it's the closet thing we got"
"You climbed all that way and all you got is 'something in the distance?" Jessica complains.
"If that's all she could she then so be it. But feel free and stay here make some friends I'm sure cranks would welcome you with open arms" I say and as if on cue we hear some cries come out of the building making Jessica almost jump out of her skin.
"See? They are already happy about that idea" I grin and decide to just start walking instead of wating till everybody agrees to come along. Time is something we don't have and we still have a long while to go.
"You know that always seems to happen with you" Emme muses as she runs to walk next to me. Puzzled I look at her "what?"
"Back in the glades, when you would show the newbies around you would talk about the dangerous maze and 'boom' the maze would change. You talk about the greavers and what happens?! They suddenly cry out" she giggles at my baffled face, she has some sort of point I guess.
"But why only with those kind of things"
Emme seems to struggle with that one if her frown is any indication, quite cute though.
"Maybe they want to help you prove point?"

As the sun starts to set we finally reach the the bridge, and old really not that solid looking bridge, but it still has abandoned cars on it so it can probably hold six girls.
