I never felt so tense in an elevator. Not that I have been in many elevators or maybe I have and just don't remember. But what I do remember now, is that I hate small spaces. They make me feel like I'm suffocating.

Especially standing with these people. Ava is literally radiating anger, turns out that people from other mazes had escaped as well.

But what really made me nervous was this Janson guy, my father. I want to keep denying it but the more I look at him the more I can see some similarities, and that made me curious.

If I have a father then obviously a mother and maybe even siblings. But I don't want to ask him. I see the way he looks at me, a smug smile on his face, knowing full well that I want to have some answers.

Annoyed I look away from him deciding to concentrate on the glowing lights above the elevator counting down. We still have quite a way to go. I wish this thing would speed up already.

"Aren't you going to ask" Janson ask finally breaking the silence although I wish he hadn't. With an half smile he turn to me but I just keep looking at the number lights above the door.

"Just as strongwilled as your mother" he muses trying to get an reaction out of me, but I will not be taunted by him. It's not like I remember her or him for thst matter.

"She also couldn't see that we were doing good here. She ran away taking your little brother with her"

Shocked I looked at him and his smile widens.

"Oh yes she did but she didn't want to take you with her. She should be with the Right Arm by now"

"What are their names" I ask instead of reacting to his jesting. He just want to look like the 'good parent'. Besides I'm pretty sure that I even would've volunteered to stay behind.

"If you come work for us I'll tell you"
I roll my eyes at him. I could've have know.

"Oh for gods sake Mr. Janson, we have a crisis on our hands. Play catch up with her later" Ava complains and just then the doors finally open.

Jessica pushes me out first. She had been quiet the whole time but her grin gave her away, she loves the power she thinks she has.

We walk down a long hallway. One  guard in front of us. Jessica walks beside me. While Janson and Paige walk behind us with the other guard.

We round a corner and I immediately spot movement at the other end of the hallway but they are too far away to make out. Whoever they are, they seem to be in a hurry.
