"This feels like a bad idea" Jessica whispers as we stare at the WCKD building surrounded by at least a dozen guards. It's night and we are about to put our plan into motion but for the millionth time she has to voice her dislike for the plan.
"We know" I whisper back, glaring at her.
I look to the right and can just see Newts head sticking above a fallen rock. He nods at me, ready to get to work.
On our left are Aris and Frypan. We decided that since his anger frypan couldn't be left alone so Aris volunteered to team up with him when we would draw out the cranks.
"Explain it one more time please" Jessica.whispers and I resit the urge to push her head into the wall we are hiding behind. Instead I take a calming breath counting to ten.
"In a minute we will scream luring the cranks down. Then when they panic we will use that side door to slip in. Then we find the emergency lockdown butten to lock the gaurds out" I explain what also feel like the millionth time.
"And after that?" She asks and I have to hold in a chuckle.
"Let's get through this phase first. You already have trouble remember that" I challenge her and she huffs.
"Right let's do this" I say before tsking a deep breath and then I scream. Followed by the others. But obviously Jessica and I sound way louder.
"What the hell was that?"
"Check the surroundings"
"Eyes open"
All kinds of commands were shouted at the same time creating the effect that I wanted.
We hide behind the boulder wanting for the inevitable horse of cranks. But it stays silent. What the shuck are the odds that there are no cranks in the area.
After a few tense second and some evil glares from Jessica I finally hear the familiar screeches from the cranks. With a smug smile I look at Jessica who decides to ignore it.
Suddenly I feel a hand on my shoulder.
"It's me" Newt says behind me his hand stopping mine from grabbing my gun out of my booth.
"You scared us" Jessica accuses him making me raise my eyebrow. Did she say us?
"No matter we need to get out of here and move towards Aris and Fry" he says while pointing behind us. Just then the alram of the building goes off.
So many cranks I hadn't seen before. Pretty sure that if we had we would all have been dead by now. I think they could easily be a hundred cranks.
"Agreed. Run" I say and quickly push Jessica foward and we start running. Both the cranks and the WCKD guards didn't notice us. They we to busy shouting orders about the coming attack.
