This building seem to go on like forever. I couldn't exactly make out how this building had fallen in the sand dune but it looked like it was still in one peace. The building we jumped out of was huge as well but this is ridiculous! One more sets of stairs and I'm going to kill someone, give Jessica a reason to call me a murderer...again.

We had decided to go up since it was really the only option, the room we had fallen into was on all side buried in aside from the hole we created of course.

This made me doubt that we will find any cranks in here, which would be like heaven on earth.

"can we please take a break" Emme says panting pulling at my arm. It was already a miracle she kept up with me and Thomas, who decided to walk with me in the front. Not that I minded, we didn't talk but it was not an awkward silence.

I look around and see that everyone is glad that Emme dared to asked me to stop, I should've known yesterday was an exhausting day "yeah of course let's take a small break" the words hadn't even completely left my mouth of everyone just dropped down on the stairs or the ground between two staircases. Right...I should have indeed stop way sooner.

"I can't feel my legs anymore" Aaliya says rubbing her legs likes she has to confirm that she still has them.

"you should pull your legs up" Frypan tells her and grabs her legs to put them on his lap his knew pulled to his chest so her legs are in the air. What shocks me though is that she is completely fine with his action. I would have kicked someone who just grabbed me like that.

I share a confused look with Ceylon who sits next to Aris. I just shrug, I'm glad for Aailya that she seems to trust him like that, it took months for us to even just side hug her, which was hard for little Emme who is a natural hugger.

"you know what, I will walk ahead to see if I can get an idea for how far we need to go" I announce getting a few confused looks from the group. Don't get me wrong I am tired but if I sit down I won't be able to get up again.

"I'll go with you" Thomas says wanting to stand up but I stop him by placing my hand on his shoulder "no I got this" and with that I sprint off vaguely hearing Newt ask if I had any drugs which made me chuckle.

Maybe it was because of the nights rest, I may be sore now but I did actually get a good night sleep.

Maybe I should just ask if people want to knock me out every night. Jessica would love to volunteer.

Speaking of the devil I can hear her starting a fight again, with I think Ceylon but I'm already too far away to hear or maybe that's because I still have that tone in my ear, I try my best to ignore it but when you are alone it seems to be louder since it's the only thing I hear.

After ten more stairs I finally see light at the end of an hallway. Finally an exit! Though I do decide to check it out before I call the rest and get scolded at for giving them false hope.

I sprint to the door and a with quite a lot of enthusiasm I open the door but I wish that I hadn't , I'm stand now face to face with a crank.

Even though he looks me right in the eye it takes him a second before he realizes that some tasty human being is standing right if front of him.

He screams at me but not as loud as they normal do. And for some reason I decide to tackle that thing instead of running away. It lets out what I can only describe as a yelp when we hit the ground. We toss around on the ground before I get a hold of my knife and with a grunt I plant it in his head, killing it. I kick him of me and quickly look around expecting more. But luckily nothing, a bit weird but I'm glad. I toss the crank to the side hiding him as best as I can, they don't need to hear about my wrestling with a crank. I am sure they will think I have some serious head trauma because of yesterday, not to mention that Ceylon will beat herself up for nothing.

I look around and see that it's quite early in the day, the sun is still high in the sky but lucky for us this part of the deserts has more buildings and I can even see some leftover roads in the distance.

I run back to the staircase and run right into someone. With a groan we fall to the ground "ow what the?" I complain before I see Thomas rubbing his bum in pain. "what are you doing, I told you that I got this?" accuse him making him glare at me.

"you were gone for quite a while I thought something might have happened" he says helping me stand up. I huff as I move a lock of hair from my face "I am pretty sure Ceylon advised against it" I grin when awkwardly coughs and avoids my gaze.

"well since you didn't listen it's only fair you go back down to get the others"

"why would I get the others?" he asks me before his eyes fall on the open door immediately he looks impressed.

"because I am awesome and found an exit now go" I see say shooing him back down the stairs making him laugh. I know it was easier to maybe yell at them but that could cause all kinds of problems.
