Another month passed by, a few days previously though, Inoue stopped going to the reception room to meet Hibari everyday. She focused more on her club instead of being charitable and helping out the disciplinary committee. At first, she just lay on the sofa ignoring him, not that he spoke much. Then she just stopped visiting, no one knew why.

She spoke to everyone else but Hibari, it was pretty strange considering he was the only one she ever properly spoke to, no one else wants to get close to her, for good reason. -That's why she was staying away and ignoring him.

It was a nice day, classes passed and she talked to Hibari, she'd even made a couple friends in class. She was paired up with one for a project, he was nice and had no ill will towards her, only interested in working on the project together.

So they met up at the library where they dived headfirst into piles of books and resources, writing notes and sharing ideas. They were speaking, but not much at all, anytime they did, it was solely about the project.

A certain man didn't see it that way, he saw her laughing with a -fairly attractive- boy from the library doors. It really bothered him, seeing her smiling around someone else, a boy no less. He couldn't care about their reasons for being in there or whatever, he won't allow anyone to touch or speak with his property. Like with Namimori, everyone knows how important that is to him.

Oho, but when he saw that boy blushing at his girlfriend (who was oblivious), he wasn't just going to let him off with a warning, nope. He retrieved his tonfa from his pocket and without relenting, he striked the unaware boy over the head, knocking him out and letting his head slam onto the table. Inoue was startled to see her partner suddenly get attacked, even more so when she spotted blood, but she was disappointed and angry at the one who did it.

That's why she was snubbing him.

Well, she initiated it but she seriously missed his twisted company. She continued to convince herself that he was in the wrong, which he was technically. Good thing was, the boy had no memory of it so...

That doesn't change that Hibari brushed his condition aside, saying he didn't want herbivores crowding around someone belonging to him. Her heart didn't skip a beat or anything, she was still mad...

It was like he wanted it to just be the two of them, forgetting about the rest of the world. She didn't want it to be like that, isolated. Unfortunately, she couldn't agree with Hibari's views on that matter.

Although it was surprising no one had caught onto their peculiar relationship yet.

"Inoue-san?" A familiar deep voice called out for her, it was lunch and she was making her way to the vending machine when Kusakabe approached her.

"Kusakabe-san? What is it?" Inoue smiled like usual, yet slightly weaker than before. Obviously she wasn't okay with her own choice, at least she wasn't weak willed.

"The chairman wants to see you..." Her smile turned into a frown quickly as she turned away.

"I don't want to see him."

"He's serious this time." She wasn't too sure what he meant by that, perhaps he'd had enough of the separation too? Well he did knock someone out for just talking to her.

She hummed to herself, confused and contemplating whether she should go or not. Kusakabe's pleading face was what stirred her into going, he'd probably get 'bitten to death' if he didn't bring her back. "Fine..."

One thing she hated was all the attention she got for being friendly with the Disciplinary Committee, that was a tough one to explain...

She followed Kusakabe inside, not seeing Hibari's face or Hibari at all, because Kusakabe was a giant compared to her, but seeing the tall man halt suddenly and tense up, he was definitely in here glaring daggers at Kusakabe.

Peering around his body, she was right, he seemed to be in the worst mood yet. Perhaps all of the casualties this week were her fault..? Kusakabe got the message from his eyes and left immediately, leaving Inoue in the tense silence of the room.

She decided to speak up, "Why did you hit him?" Muttered her quiet voice, breaking the silence and taking a seat on the sofa, holding her legs up. His scowl slowly relaxed and he sighed, standing up and taking up position in front of his desk.

"I didn't kill him or leave any permanent damage." He replied simply, awfully relaxed about the situation.

"But, he was bleeding badly.." Inoue countered, thinking back on it made her feel awfully guilty again. She didn't even notice she was crying.

"That's why he's in the hospital." She flinched, it was basically her fault that the guy almost got killed, hospitals aren't for tiny little cuts or anything.

"Hey, I'll say this now, I hate it when other people try and touch you. Even if they talk to you, it makes me want to bite them to death. Whenever I see you getting along with others, I get uneasy and before I know it I'm attacking them." She hadn't ever heard him speak so much, he was fairly blunt in his words and she would have blushed any other time, actually she was just not to the extremity she usually does.

She looked at him for the first time, noticing somewhere along the line he'd taken a seat opposite her. Her heart was wavering and she wanted nothing more than to apologise and run into his arms right then, "But..."

She heard a tiny huff escape his lips; he held up a hand, in a 'come here' gesture. So she did, she stood and walked over, standing in between his legs, she was pretty embarrassed that she was only a head taller than him when he was sitting.

He placed his hands on her waist, "I have no interest in anyone but you." She wasn't sure if he was trying to cheer her up but it was working. She gingerly placed her hands on his shoulders, resisting the urge to look away. "All I need is you." Her face flushed when he buried his head onto her stomach, her shirt and vest crumpling and crinkling under the pressure, his arms wrapping around her and pulling her closer. She moved a second later, returning the embrace by holding his head and shoulder towards her.

"Mm.. I feel the same." She mumbled, her face just beside his ear. She could feel his soft hair in her hand and held back from brushing her fingers through it, her heart throbbed, she'd never felt so strongly, so in love, before. She couldn't voice it, she could only hold him as if her life was ending. She smiled truthfully for the first time that week, truly glad to be with him.

Kusakabe was glad the next day when he saw Inoue sitting on the sofa, a pleasant smile on her face as she sipped her tea; he noticed Hibari with the same tea and a familiar black bento on his desk.

No more of Hibari's demon aura.

Thank God.
