Inoue wasn't in the Disciplinary Committee from the beginning, she was still a valued member of the literature club. After certain circumstances, she was practically forced in and has been a member ever since, despite her not doing any of the jobs required of a member.
Except paperwork.
And the usual meetings with other groups and stuff that Hibari never wanted to attend, now he didn't have to because she was there.
Around this time, Hibari wasn't insistent on escorting her home, or letting one of his lackeys do it, so she, most of the time, walked back to her house alone. Sometimes she waited for Hibari to finish up but it grew to be unsuitable with her schedule. -Aka studying and playing with her cat.
He was called Eiji and was really old. A fluffy ball of annoyance for Hibari, who came around her house once and never again.
He liked her hamster though.
Anyway, she was walking home alone, casually, not doing anything wrong except quickly passing through an alleyway because it's a shortcut to her house, ignoring that in all fanfiction alleyways are a big no no. Nothing actually happened in the alleyway, because I just realised it was generic, but when she came out and was about to start walking down the road, a gang of students approached her.
They were your typical thugs, rough school uniform, Namimori's no less -Hibari'll have a fit, chewing gum and smoking, probably hunchbacks, nasty glares on their faces though nothing close to Hibari who's actually terrifying.
But she was naturally a nervous person, so she did what anyone would do when approached by scary men feet taller than her, and backed up into the wall, hugging her bag and hoping they weren't going to kill her or anything.
"Do you need anything?" She managed to say without an obvious stutter, yet an obvious shake in her voice. For some reason that seemed to make them happy, they all smiled at her ferally, like she was some kind of prey to them.
"Yeah," She could hear his lips smack together as he spoke condescendingly, it was gross, he spat all over her just by saying 'yeah', "We do."
"You're the notorious chick that's dating that bastard Hibari. You sure you didn't just flash him or something?" She began to really hate how they spoke about Hibari, like he'd date her because she whipped her skirt off!? He'd probably kill her ten times for indecency at school, then practically maul her to death with his tonfa before throwing her ragdoll corpse out the window to be cleaned up by Kusakabe later!
"If you gave him a show, can't we see a little?" Gross just die already.
"Hibari isn't that weak and disgusting." Inoue spat, gaining her abnormal courage at the worst times. "I would never do such a thing, and Hibari would never have accepted it either; are you that stupid?" A rhetorical question obviously.
She wasn't expecting to be punched for her sarcasm, thank god it was the stomach and not her face. Although it was really painful, coughing and choking from the sudden blow while trying to catch her breath.
"Tch. That *stream of rude words directed at Hibari*, everyday he whacks me around cause I'm a little late for school and I don't wear the uniform to his standards, *Another unending combo of swearing and insults*" Inoue was genuinely surprised at this guy's plain idiocy, was he seriously that much of a moron? Tucking in a shirt and buttoning it up wasn't hard, neither was appearing at school on time, so...
"Isn't that all your fault though." She deadpanned, earning a knee to the stomach and a hit to the face, well, that's their luck run out.
"Well, I'd bet even that *Do I need to continue?* will beg for forgiveness after seeing his cutesy girlfriend so beaten up and tied to a chair." Seriously, this guy was just on another level. Is he forgetting that Hibari can not only kick them out of school, but also beat them into next week? And -did he just imply he was going to kidnap her?
"Who will be begging for forgiveness?" A silver gleam shone in the low light of the streets, her attackers were immediately tensed and quite obviously afraid, of course they were. In a flash, Hibari shot forward and began dealing out the biggest punishment Inoue had ever seen him give before. He didn't knock them out like usual, he just continued to practically torture them, hitting them around with his tonfa.
Inoue watched in awe, she wasn't too bothered about the others writhing in pain on the floor, just the sight of her saviour standing there unceremoniously covered in blood but looking as amazing as usual. She loved the rare times where she could see him fight. It made her heart race.
Soon enough, she collapsed to her feet, the pain in her stomach becoming a little too much. She wasn't sure if she was bleeding or not, but the slight wet feeling on the back of her head suggested she was. Brick walls were not very nice to her.
Too fatigued to even stand, she didn't lift a finger or even speak when Hibari had walked over and picked her up, she managed to clutch her bag to her chest, not leaving it behind.
She felt a little bad though, after the last incident, she had pompadours following her around guarding her, that got a little suffocating so she asked Hibari to take back the order, which he eventually did so hesitantly.
So in other words, Hibari coming out here to save her was again, her fault. So, willing her voice, she apologised.
She didn't imagine him to say any kind words like it wasn't her fault, great guessing because he didn't, "You're troublesome. From now on, wait."
From that she managed to translate it to, he'll be walking her home from tomorrow.
That was all she thought it was. -He actually took her to his house that night, telling her to get her mother to bring round some more clothes. That's how the closet grew again.
But... When she woke up for school the next day, securely wrapped in Hibari's arms, because he wanted her in his bed that night, probably that security stuff he mentioned; when Hibari ended up getting out of bed, -Inoue had fallen back asleep and was cuddled up against his chest, he'd woken up Inoue in the process, she watched him walk to a cupboard and pull out a school uniform, a sailor uniform for girls. In black. With a familiar armband. She could only say 'eh' as she was forced into it and taken to school.
The rumors of her pursuing Hibari and managing to 'tame' him floated around for about a day until Hibari literally beat up anyone that mentioned it in his and her presence.
Well later on they were spied being all coupley so the rumor died and became 'Holy crap that adorable Inoue from class 2-a is in a relationship with that Hibari of the Disciplinary Committee!'
To be frank, it was all Hibari's fault people saw them, suddenly kissing her in the hallway of all places... Just because she said she didn't need an escort, he just had to prove that anyone could pin her against the wall and take advantage of her.
OF COURSE HIBARI KYOYA COULD PIN ANYONE AGAINST A WALL!
