As one arc ends, another starts. As usual, Inoue was sat in the reception room, sipping tea and going through some reports. Hibari was doing the same. The day was normal, except for a few transfer students. She hadn't met them, but she'd heard people chatting about them... she got the gist of it. They were eccentric.

There wasn't anyone new in her class, even though there were some third year transfers. She was excited to meet them...

She was.

The door to the room slammed open, a female voice calling out, "Excuse me!" as they came into sight. She was tall and super, like way too busty, was she seriously 17? She was really pretty, and kinda had Inoue anxious.

"Are you the disciplinary committee chairman, Hibari Kyoya?" Inoue wasn't surprised the girl knew his name, but more that she fearlessly burst in. Inoue watched quietly from her place on the sofa, her tea forgotten on the table.

"Who are you?" She was surprised Hibari hadn't jumped up and began attacking her yet.

"I'm Suzuki Adelheid. A third year student from Shimon middle school," She introduced.

Inoue didn't think it could get any more tense until, "From now on, this reception room belongs to the liquidation committee."

'The liquidation committee?' Inoue questioned mentally, while Hibari spoke the same words verbally.

"If you resist, I'll have to act accordingly," She threatened. Inoue felt the atmosphere turn dangerous quickly. She wasn't too sure on what to do here between a heated glare-down.

"Mai," She shot up, breaking from her little trance, she looked at Hibari who didn't return her gaze. Feeling the seriousness of the situation, she stood.

"Okay." She scurried out, ignoring the Suzuki girl's eyes watching her.

Now what? She had barely any friends because she was around Hibari so often... Well, technically the school day was over so she could go home... But, she doubted Hibari would appreciate that.

Taking out her phone, she scrolled through her contacts, there were only about 10, before clicking on one towards the bottom.

The person picked up immediately.

"Mai? Is there something wrong? You don't normally call." A fairly cheerful feminine voice spoke up from the speakers.

"Sorry Kaa-san... Hi-K..Kyoya's a little busy right now so I was wondering if Nii-san was in?" Inoue replied in a hushed voice, embarrassed. Calling him by his first name was enough, but that brother of hers...

She'd rather not willingly ask him to pick her up.

"Yukihiro? He's here." Inoue heard some clanging and other undesirable noises from the other side, almost deafening her, until finally a deep and groggy voice grumbled out, "What..?"

"Sorry, were you watching those horse videos again?" Inoue cringed, thinking about how much the television had been hoarded by her brother just because he loved watching derpy and funny videos of horses. Surprisingly, his favourite animal was not a horse.

"You want me to come pick you up 'cause your protective boyfriend can't?" He huffed, hitting the bullseye. He had a bad experience with Hibari once, it left a scar. Apparently, his laughter and loud horse shows were disrupting the peace...?

"Please?"

He hung up. Inoue could only hope he was coming now. She clicked on Hibari's contact and quickly sent a message telling him she was going home with her brother.

Now, she had to pass the time again.

"Inoue-chan, can you come help with something?" She wasn't expecting her classmate to pop out at such a good time. "The beautification committee needs an extra pair of hands.."

So, she did some gardening, litter picking, sweeping, until finally her NEET brother arrived in all his pajama and raccoon eye glory. It was frankly horrifying.

She missed Hibari's house.

Her mother's cooking was delicious for sure, but the horse noises in the background totally ruined it; and her mother extensively gossiped about her friends and different affairs she has absolutely no interest in.

She only had her cat to confide in.

The next day, she wasn't picked up by Hibari, another surprise, things were definitely getting weird again. She walked to school for the first time in a while, alone. Until someone collided with her, and they both fell to the floor in a messy heap.

"I-I'm sorry!" She apologised for no reason. Regaining her senses and collecting up the fallen books and pencils.

"Sorry too..." She could barely hear the boy's voice it was so quiet, quieter than hers.

"Are you hurt? Do you need medical attention? Are you bleeding?" She fretted, checking him over and noticing quite a few older wounds. He brushed her off though, taking his things and standing up.

"I'm fine.." He muttered before running off again, leaving her on the floor.

She was fairly happy to meet a somewhat 'kind' transfer student, supposing he was in the same year as Tsuna. They would probably get along.

Picking herself up, she completely ignored the crowd and giant 'purge' banner, and made her way to the reception room like she usually would, pegging the whole farce on Hibari fighting that girl. She couldn't have been more right.

She regretted her indifference immediately, wanting to see Hibari fight was something she breathed for... well, she just really liked it. But she totally missed it!

So she mourned while making tea.

It felt a little lonely in the silence, it was unlike the quiet when Hibari was here, the air was more comforting, but now she was alone in here, it just felt kind of suffocating. She put her tea down and flopped over on the sofa, resting her head on the arm. For some reason, she was exhausted, probably her family. Ever since she'd moved in with Hibari, somehow.. it just happened, she'd gotten used to not having horses screeching at ungodly hours and her mother's obnoxious high pitched chatter. She was a person that liked peace and tranquility.

Before she knew it, under the blanket of silence, she was slowly drifting off. She really shouldn't be though, member of the committee or not, she was still a student; naps weren't permitted.

She heard the door open, not fully asleep yet, her weary eyes turned to see who had entered, an obvious answer. Watching his form make it's way over to her, she was barely conscious at this point, trying hopelessly to fight sleep. She felt something drape over her before seeing him grab her tea and take sips of it, going to his desk and placing it down like it was his from the beginning.

She smiled before letting tiredness consume her.

Omake.

When she woke up next, about an hour had passed, Hibari was at his desk like usual, and seemed to be in a fairly good mood. She sat up and let the 'blanket' covering her fall to her side; it was then she noticed Hibari wasn't wearing his usual gakuran jacket, instead, it was now in a pile beside her. She grabbed it and placed it in her lap, smiling warmly, she turned to thank Hibari only to notice he was no longer sitting behind his desk, but standing in front of her with a smirk on his face.

She could only watch as he trapped her against the sofa, his hands against the back and boxing her in, his face awfully close to hers, she could only redden and try to move away.

"For skipping class and sleeping, I'll bite you to death."
