The next few chapters will be completely unedited and not rewritten with better grammar as I have lost quite a fair amount of inspiration for writing recently, especially with college - therefore these next chapters will be rather poopy in quality so do forgive me for that. As well as this, the ending for this ff --- well i hate it and want to rewrite it and I might if I get the will to, so please also forgive the crumminess of the ending.

Thanks and please enjoy these overdue updates.

Mai was not only bored, but fairly lonely. The house was giant, and it wasn't like she could just kick up a conversation with one of the committee members. Hibari had stopped coming back two weeks ago, so he was always in the underground base working or something, Mai didn't know. -Everytime she tried to visit, she'd be turned away.

She wanted to break in there but... it seemed like a really bad idea. It wasn't like she had the ability either.

So what better to do than fly to Italy and visit a good friend of hers?

Dino was not expecting her to turn up on his doorstep without Hibari.

"M-Mai!?" Dino probably would have fallen off his chair if it wasn't for Romario in the room.

Mai bowed, "Hello, Dino-san."

Dino looked at Romario for an explanation, but the man just shrugged, equally as confused as Dino was.

"Uh... If you don't mind me asking, what are you doing here?" Dino asked anxiously, knowing Hibari would come for his head if he found out.

"Don't worry about Kyoya, I'm just here to combat boredom." Dino was at first perplexed about her reason for coming, she flew to Italy just to have fun? -Then it turned into bewilderment when he thought about what she first said. Don't worry about Kyoya? Why? Did they fight or something?

He didn't question it though, he knew better than to pry into other peoples' relationships. Dino was convinced Hibari would have asked her by now, the thought of him being nervous entered and left his head in a flash, but he still couldn't wrap his head around why he was dawdling.

"Then... Are you hungry? Or do you want to go into town?" He suggested, momentarily forgetting he had work to sort through.

"I wouldn't mind a tour... but you're rather busy yourself, aren't you?" Mai gave a wry yet amused smile, gesturing to the pile of papers on his desk.

He paled, "Ah..."

"Leave it to me, boss. Is there anywhere you want to go first, Mai-sama?" Romario stepped forward, a content smile tugging at his lips, probably entertained by the little show his boss delivered.

Mai-sama? "Nowhere in particular, no. I'd like to visit a bakery while I'm here, however."

"I'll leave it to you then, Romario." Dino grinned, letting out a long breath as he got back to reading the letters and reports.

Mai followed Romario out and listened to him speaking, or glossing over, the history of the Cavallone family. They had a little small talk, about Italy and the Vongola, -mafia stuff-, but normal things, like books and films too.

Back in Japan, Kusakabe was bracing himself to face Hibari, and report another of Mai's sudden trips. He knocked on the shoji, and bowed after opening it. He made no move to enter the room, he'd rather escape quickly.

"Kyo-san, we've just found out that Mai-san is currently in Italy with Haneuma Dino." He waited with bated breath for a reply, or some kind of crashing sound, but nothing came.

"Kyo-san?" He muttered after not earning any kind of acknowledgement.

"Leave her be, she can do as she wants." Either Hibari was replaced by someone, or he was losing his mind. Kusakabe just left mindlessly, wondering just what was so difficult about him going to see Mai. But even though he thought that, Kusakabe could see the look of conflict and pure agitation on Hibari's face.
