Brooklyn's POV

"Hey... Brooklyn, wake up okay." I felt Alex's voice as she started to move. I forgot, but I'm thankful that she stayed last night, it's odd, lately whenever I'm with Alex I have anxiety attacks and really bad dreams. Alex is my sanity right now. I don't know how it happened, but without her, it's just weird. "Did you sleep okay?" I opened my eyes to Alex pulling the blanket off of her and putting the her hair to the side.

It fell perfectly as she got out of the bed and walked out of the room. I never knew that when I first met Alex that she would make my life so different, so much better. She's amazing, something I've never had in my life. I have an older sister. Then I have Alex, she might not be my biological sister, but she's just as good, I just connected to her.

"We're leaving at 7:30 okay, so be ready."

"Okay, hey do you- nevermind." I shook my head as I got out of bed. "No, what is it?" She leaned against the doorframe and looked at me with her arms crossed.

"I was just wondering, umm do you think I could beside you at lunch?"

"Yea, sure...umm, Brooklyn we need to talk to someone about your sleep."

"Who?"

"I don't know, mom, Jenny?"

"I don't know, Alex, I'll be fine, just a few-"

"Brooklyn, just trust me, we need to." I nodded my head in defeat as she pushed herself off the doorway and walked to her room. I wish we were still in the same room.

"I'll see you at lunch have a good day." Alex gave me a hug as we walked into school and she left as she walked towards Tobin. I walked up behind Steph and put my hands over her eyes.

"Umm, hmm, hands smell like...Brooklyn?" I removed my hands and walked around Steph. "How did you do that?" She just shrugged her shoulders and wrapped her arms around my body. "How are you?" She rested her head on my shoulder. "It's okay, I got okay sleep I guess. What about you?"

"I'm great now." I saw her smile grow on my shoulder. I looked over at Lindsey, Lucy, and Morgan all talking, probably about us. Steph still seemed to be flirty, I understand it though, I lead her on and changed my mind, but can't tell her.

"Hey Brooklyn is something wrong?" Lucy looked at me with her head tilted. "I'm a little dizzy that's all." She stepped closer and put her hand against my forehead. "You're warm, Steph you should probably take her to the nurse we can't be getting sick?"

Steph unwrapped her arms from me and lifted her arm head. "Come on." We walked through the school to the nurse's office. "Oh, hi Steph, is this mini morgan?"

"Yep, it is. Brooklyn this is our trainor. She keeps us all unhurt during the season."

"Oh, cool."

"So what brings you ladies in here?" She looked at us and down to her paper writing something in. "Ok let's check her thermometer." She looked at the thermometer. "She has a frver definetly. Her temp right now is 102.7, who drives you to school?"

"My older sister Alex."

"School hasn't started yet, will you call her and ask her to come here."

Steph did it for me as I sat my head in her lap. She played with my hair as I started to fell worse. I hate having a fever, because then I'm always freezing. I hate being cold, I hated that in some of the places I lived. I started to fall asleep, but Alex's voice and face appearing in front of mine woke me up.

"Hey, what's wrong? You okay?" She placed her hands on the sides of my face and looked at me. "She has a fever of 102.7, it's probably gonna rise, not a good thing that she's at school, you need to take her home."
