Alex's POV

"Ready to go to school?"

"Leggo!" She ran out the door and hopped in the jeep. Although we have all these other cars we still take my jeep a lot of the times. "You have practice right?"

"Yea. I hope you'll fully be back soon."

"I do too. I'm excited for soccer. Maybe there will still be players left to play. I mean if we get as lucky as we did the other night. It's been a full week and no more deaths other than people being arrested on killed for being behind the list. Who do you think found out, like how are the people behind the list being killed. Who is the hero?"

"I don't know if it's a hero Brooklyn, people are still dying-"

"They're no longer innocent though." I nodded my head at her and pulled into the school parking lot. We walked into school together smiling, but mine fell when she ran away. My expression quickly changed again when she jumped into some boy's arms. Everyone looked around confused, but them, Brooklyn and the boy were just happy. He was new. He was holding onto his newly printed schedule right outside the office as he hugged Brooklyn. I walked closer to them and they finally detached.

The boys was tall over six foot. He had silver hair and pretty blue eyes. He was muscular, but slim and was definitely gonna catch many girls' eyes. Brooklyn turned and smiled at me. I think this is the biggest smile I've ever seen on her face. She pulled him over towards me and looked at him then me.

"Alex...this is my brother, Asher." I felt a little dizzy as I heard the words. I placed my foot back a step to sturdy myself and looked at the two. "Your-your brother...." I closed my dropped jaw and looked at him. Thoughts kept flying through my head. The top one was now that he's here what will I mean to her?

"It's nice to meet you Alex." He stepped forward and struck his hand out with a smile. I smiled back and shook his hand. "Asher, Alex is my older sister...her family adopted me." Brooklyn mumbled the sentences nervously and looked at each of us.

"I would love to get to know the family my sister went to." I nervously smiled at him. "I bet they would love to meet you too. What brought you here to Diamond Bar?" I was slightly confused on the fact that he spoke perfect English unlike Brooklyn when she first arrived.

We walked him to his locker and first class, then I walked Brooklyn to hers. "Do you want to have him over for dinner or something?" She smiled and nodded her head before disappearing into her class room.

Oh what a day it's about to be.

Brooklyn's POV

"Where were you all morning? I was looking for you." I looked at Steph and just smiled. Steph...he'll be happy to meet her and Mallory. I can't belive he's here. It's amazing. Alex seemed a different way with him though. I can tell when she puts on a fake smile, the one she gave couldn't be any faker. I know it's gonna be hard for her to grasp, but we'll figure it out.

"Steph, I have big news." She set her bag down next to her seat and sat in it as I did the same. "I'm waiting." I laughed at her facial expression smiled again. "My brother is here... at Diamond Bar. He's my real brother, he's younger-you have to meet him later, maybe after school."

"That's great I guess, I can tell you're really happy about him being here."
