Time passed quickly between your graduation and your fathers funeral. It was busy and there was so much to do. Namjoon was a figure of constant reassurance and made himself available to talk any time, as much as his busy schedule would allow. You had planned to leave for Korea exactly two weeks after the funeral, giving yourself enough time to pack up and leave for good this time. Nothing tied you to this place anymore. Your home was with Namjoon.
It was difficult to get up when the day of the funeral arrived. Your eyes felt heavy from exhaustion but your heart was filled with a strange sort of excitement. This was going to be a hard day and you had been dreading it, but once it was over then you knew your father would be at peace and you could move on with your life in the way he would have wanted you too. He had always been Namjoon's number one supporter, other than you, and he had always felt sorry that you couldn't be with Namjoon because you had to be there for him instead.
You dressed slowly, the black dress that you used to wear for work in Korea seemed to be an unwelcome sign of just how poorly you had been looking after yourself. It hung off you now, where it had once been a comfortable fit. You sighed, you were sure that would change once you got back to Namjoon forcing you to eat Jin's cooking.
Your phone pinged as you began your make up. You picked it up and smiled at the message. It was a picture of Namjoon and all the boys, dressed completely in black. A couple of the members hair being the only splash of colour in the picture. The message underneath read 'Y/N fighting! We all can't wait to see you soon!'
You smiled fondly and were suddenly glad that all the boys had always been so kind to you and so supportive of yours and Namjoon's relationship, really that was more than either of you could ask for.
You looked quickly at the time on your phone and realised you were running late. You finished your hair and make up quickly and left your apartment, slightly more ready to face the day with the picture of the boys in your head.

Namjoon and the boys sat in their meeting, strange looks coming from every angle. They had all decided that as a mark of respect to your father they would wear black, for the funeral they couldn't attend. However their matching attire had confused their management team, who were clueless as to why they were dressed like that.
The meeting had been pretty boring so far, Namjoon couldn't hold back his laughter at Yoongi who looked like he would fall asleep at any second. Then suddenly everything took a turn for the worse.
'So the world tour...' their manager began and Namjoon's heart immediately dropped. He knew it was a topic on the edge of everyone's lips but he had almost forgotten about it in the excitement and anticipation to see you. 'I know it's short notice but we've had to do it quickly. It'll start two weeks from today.' All eyes fell quickly on Namjoon, who sat eyes wide and open mouthed at the statement. He stood instinctively and the chair he had been sat on fell back.
'What?!' He shouted, making several members of the meeting jump. 'That's definitely too short notice!'
'Why do you have other plans?' Their manager asked, eyeing his suspiciously. Namjoon knew that his manager had never been your number one fan, and he far from agreed with the relationship. Telling him that you were meant to be coming home in two weeks was just going to fuel his fire. There was no way he was going to let Namjoon stay or postpone the tour.
'Shit,' Namjoon whispered under his breath, his head in his hands and his fingers entwined furiously into his hair. He suddenly felt sick, the adrenaline and excitement that had been keeping him going were suddenly all gone and all that was left was empty exhaustion. 'Are we done?' He asked bluntly, making for the door. Before anyone could even answer he had left, slamming the door behind him. The whole room shook and everyone braced themselves for something to break. They were all slightly impressed when nothing did.
Tae stood with a sigh. 'I'll go,' he said and followed Namjoon out the door and down the corridor.
'Hyung! Stop!' He shouted after him. He grabbed his shoulder and spun him round when he reached him. He full well expect Namjoon to throw his gesture of friendship back in his face. It wasn't in Namjoon's nature but he was under a lot of stress and he didn't imagine this situation was helping. Besides it wouldn't be the first time that Namjoon's anger had over taken him since you had left.
'I can't do this anymore Tae, I can't be away from her anymore. How am I meant to tell her I'm not going to be here when she gets home? I can't break her heart.' Namjoon's words were fast and staggered. He could feel anger and sadness rising through his whole body and he knew he needed to leave before he punched something. This building was suffocating him. He made to leave down the corridor again.
'Hyung, I'll come with you.' Tae said, grabbing Namjoon's forearm. He looked down at his arm fondly, Taes kindness cooling his angry heart slightly.
'It's okay Tae, I need to be on my own. Thank you though.' He looked at Tae, gave him the slight sign of a smile and began to walk away. He remembered the day he had lost his temper with Tae as much as anyone. As angry as he felt he was much more careful with the words he used to his friends these days and always tried to be as gentle as possible, even in the mist of rage that was now befalling him.
Namjoon quickly reached the busy street, he pulled up his mask and pulled his hood over his head. He began to walk home, towards the dorm, falling into the busy crowd. Just another ant in the hoard of thousands of busy lives, no one recognised him and he was glad. He didn't have the capacity to fake a smile right now.
It was growing dark by the time he reached home. He looked at his watch and saw that it was 6pm. You'd still be at the funeral, you would be for a while. He sighed and concluded to let you call him when you were done like you had both agreed. He sighed heavily and slumped down onto the sofa. How was he going to say the words that were going to make your horrible day even worse? Was he about to create the worst day imaginable? He pushed the questions from his mind as much as he could and turned on the tv. He watched the figures on the screen but their outlines weren't clear, he couldn't think of anything but you. Eventually he got up and walked to the small studio that resided in the dorm. All he knew was music and the only way he knew how to sort thoughts like this was to write.
The others returned a few hours later, they had gone for food, concluding that it would be best to leave Namjoon be for a while. Yoongi headed straight to the studio, sure that was where Namjoon would be. He knew it would be best if just one of them went and they all knew it should probably be him. He entered the studio quietly, surprised to find Namjoon slumped forward, asleep and head resting on numerous bits of crumpled up paper. Yoongi shook his head in sympathy and love for his friend rose through his whole body. How was it fair that someone this talented and kind had to suffer so much?
'Namjoon?' He whispered, taking the seat next to Namjoon and shaking his shoulder slightly. He didn't even stir. Yoongi looked down at Namjoon's phone, that was lay next to him on the desk. A message popped up on the screen informing him that he had 3 missed calls from you. Yoongi sighed and shook Namjoon's shoulder a little harder. 'Namjoon,' he said louder. 'Are you okay?' He asked. Namjoon began to wake up, sat up and rubbed his tired eyes.
'Hyung,' he breathed simply. Yoongi shot him a sympathetic smile and patted his shoulder slightly. They both looked down as the room became illuminated by the light of his phone and the sound of his ring tone broke the peace. You were calling again.
'I think it's time you break the news.' Yoongi said sadly, passing Namjoon his phone.
