You, Namjoon and Jin sqooze together on your little sofa and sat there quietly for a couple of minutes, enjoying the comfortable presence of each other. The silence was far from awkward and you smiled widely at the close contact with two people who you loved so deeply in such wildly different ways.

Jin was like the older brother you had never had. He looked after you perfectly and always knew how to make you laugh. His mere presence was the most relaxing thing in the world and he could calm you down with such ease it was ridiculous. You loved Jin the way a little girl loves her older brother, you idolised him in a way that made him seem perfect. To be honest, he was as close to perfect as anyone you had ever met before.

Your love for Namjoon was on a different scale however. You loved not his perfection, but rather his many imperfections. You saw Namjoon for everything he was, crystal clear. There was no blinding perfection that made you ignorant to his flaws. But that was the best thing about him. He made it impossible for you to idolise him like you did Jin. He was an idol after all, plenty of other people put him on a pedestal without you doing it too. He showed you every part of himself no matter how ugly and was always shocked that it only made you love him more. Like the incident just moments before. You had been angry at his attitude towards Jae but his jealousy lit a fire in your heart that made you feel like you had the most pleasant fever of your life. Your love for Namjoon took up the whole of your heart and you knew that was the kind of love that would last forever, no matter the weird and wonderful challenges that tried to break you both apart.

Before long you noticed that Jin was fast asleep, head back and snoring. You giggled and stood up to fetch a blanket from your bedroom.

By the time you had returned Namjoon had gently lay him down and shoved a cushion under his head. You placed the blanket over him and smiled fondly at the man you had learnt to call brother.

'He looks so cute when he's sleeping.' You mumbled, not really to anyone in particular.

'Yeah,' Namjoon sighed peacefully. 'Don't forget he's probably dreaming up more ridiculous dad jokes.' He laughed and so did you.

Suddenly Namjoon pulled you into a hug and entangled his hand in your hair, as if to root himself to you in the best way possible.

You buried your face further into his chest and balled your fist in the front of his shirt, an act you realised you did often and provided you with a lot of comfort.

The sound of his fast beating heart lay just under your ear, causing you to ball your fist tighter.

It struck you that this hug was an act to show that you were his and he was yours. No matter the time frame, be it a minute, an hour, a day, a month or maybe, if the two of you were lucky enough, even forever.

'I love you.' The words didn't hesitate in your throat, but rather fell from your lips with the greatest of ease. You would never in your whole life speak words that were more true then those three.

Namjoon looked down at you with eyes that looked on the verge of tears. You weren't exactly sure why but you were almost certain that your own eyes carried the same look. Maybe you both knew somewhere deep inside that the darkness that had befell your relationship for the past few months was about to be lifted. It didn't matter in that moment that you didn't have the solid permission of his manager. In both your minds this was happening, no matter what.

'Always?' He asked into the soft air of the moonlit room.

'Always have, always will.' You replied, causing him to smile in a way that made your heart jump.

'I love you too.' He whispered. He took your face in his hands and as he looked into your eyes you rearranged your hands to grip the soft material of his shirt on his hips. He bent slowly, not taking his eyes from yours, only closing them as his lips found yours. You smiled underneath his kiss and kissed him happily back. You pulled him closer to you, as impossible as that may have seemed and hoped somewhere in the back of your mind that your own words were true. Namjoon and you. You and Namjoon. The two of you. Forever and always.
