As hours turned into days and days turned into weeks, the pain of the concert slowly began to leave your heart. You focused on counting down the days until you could see Namjoon next, instead of counting the days since you had seen him last.

Finally with Namjoon's instruction you had begun to make some friends at work and as summer began you almost felt sad that you would be leaving for Korea in a couple of months.

It was approaching the end of May on the day you fell ill at work.

You rose from your desk slowly, a wave of nausea hitting you hard and you suddenly felt as if you would pass out any second. You clung to the arms of your chair and gripped tightly until your knuckles went white, closed your eyes and waited impatiently for the pain to pass. But it didn't, it got worse.

'Y/N? Are you okay?' You felt a hand on your shoulder and opened your eyes slowly. Your friend Jae was stood next to you, at least you thought it was him but your vision was blurring his figure. You slowly shook your head and collapsed finally from pain. He caught you quickly before you hit the floor and concluded to take you home for the day.

You woke up to the pleasant sensation of a cold flannel being placed onto your forehead. Your eyes flickered open and Namjoon's name was briefly on your lips, until you realised he wasn't the one you were seeing. You rubbed your eyes gently and tried hard to focus your vision.

'Jae?' You asked, eyes lay finally on your co-worker.

'Hey, your awake, how are you feeling?' He asked, concern written all over his face.

'Better, I think.' You replied, attempting to sit up but finding that your body felt far to weak for such an action. You looked around instead and saw that you were in your apartment. 'How did I get here?' You asked.

'I drove you, you had a really bad fever and passed out.' Jae rubbed the back of his head and looked away, obviously embarrassed by the whole scenario.

'Thanks for looking after me.' You closed your eyes again, exhaustion forcing them shut.

'Y/N, your phone is ringing.' You were also faintly aware of the sound.

'Answer it for me?' You answered without thinking, half delirious from your fever.

'Hello?' You heard Jae say into the phone and then he paused and sighed. 'They hung up,' He was now addressing you and you hummed gently in reply, unable to answer him properly. 'Oh wait, its ringing again. The caller ID says Namjoon? Who's that?' Your eyes snapped open but before you could stop him he had answered your phone again. 'Hello, Y/N's phone. Who's this?'

'Jae wait!' You yelled and with a sudden burst of strength snatched the phone from his hand. As you held the phone to your ear you heard a heavy sigh on the other end and then Namjoon hung up. 'Shit!' You groaned and placed your hands in your hair, frustrated.

'Are you okay?' Jae asked, making you jump, you had forgotten he was there for a second and you suddenly wanted him to leave more then anything. 'Who was that?' He asked for the second time.

'No one,' You replied coldly. 'You should get back to work, I feel a bit better. Thank you for looking after me.' You pushed him lightly on the shoulder with your weak fist and he stood to leave. You shot him a smile and a quick goodbye and then sighed heavily when he was finally gone.

You picked up your phone and called Namjoon again. He didn't answer, he hung up on the second ring. You looked at your phone screen, confused, and tried again but the same thing happened.

'Great!' You groaned loudly and a wave of nausea that wasn't created by your fever washed over you.

You concluded to call Yoongi instead. The phone rang gently next to your ear and you sighed, relieved when he picked up.

'Y/N?' He answered in his usual sleepy way.

'Yoongi! Are you with Namjoon?' You asked quickly.

'Well its nice to speak to you too after so long.' He laughed.

'Seriously Yoongi, he's not answering my calls.' Yoongi stopped laughing as he heard the desperation in your voice.

'Give me a second, I'll go find him.' You heard him moving and waited anxiously, listening closely to any sound. Your heart dropped at the whispered conversation you heard as Yoongi found Namjoon.

'No, I don't want to,' You heard Namjoon say, anger evident in his voice.

'Just talk to her, stop being ridiculous.' There was a crackling sound, as you assumed Yoongi was handing Namjoon the phone.

'Namjoon,' You whispered shyly.

'What?' His words were harsh and angry and tears immediately formed in your eyes.

'I...' You began but he cut you off.

'Why is some guy answering your phone?' The anger was still heavy in his voice.

'I'm sick,' You replied. 'He's a friend from work and he brought me home.' Your explanation was fast and honest but somehow the sigh you heard in reply told you that Namjoon didn't quite believe you.

'So why is he answering your phone?'

'I told him too...I didn't realise it was you.' You replied, your tears now falling rapidly from your eyes. Anger was something you weren't used to hearing through each of Namjoon's words and it was hurting your heart.

'So why is it an issue if it was me? Does he not know about me?' You had no idea how he had come to the conclusion that Jae didn't know about him and some how that made it even harder to admit that he was completely right.

---------

'Does he not know about me?' Namjoon's words were burning his throat as he spoke them. Really he had no idea why he felt so angry. Just because another man had answered your phone didn't mean anything was going on. But right now the rational part of his brain wasn't working.

'He doesn't know about you.' Namjoon's heart stopped completely and he felt suddenly sick with a rush of adrenaline. 'No one does.' You added and his heart jumped heavily back into action, making his chest ache in the most horrible way.

'What do you mean no one does?' He asked, realising suddenly that this had opened up a much bigger issue then he could ever of imagined.

'I don't know,' You sobbed, and for a split second he forgot to be angry at the sound of your cries. But your next words devastated him. 'I never told anyone at work about you. I didn't know how to explain our situation. I didn't want to be...' You stopped, realising that the words you were about to say were to honest and to hurtful.

'Say it,' Namjoon whispered through grit teeth, clenching his fist hard around his phone.

'No,' You whispered, tears evident in your tone.

'Say it!' He shouted. He stood from the sofa he had been sat on and began to pace the room. His world was falling apart before his eyes and it was making his head spin.

'I didn't want to be known...as the girl dating an idol.' You whimpered in reply to his shout.

'Well, don't be that girl then.' He spat quickly, hung up and threw the phone down onto the sofa. He threw his fist out and it connected with the nearest wall hard. 'Fuck!' He shouted loudly and threw his now bleeding hand into his hair. He didn't know what hurt more, the fact there had been a random guy in your apartment or the fact that you were embarrassed of being his girlfriend.
