Pain was flooding your body as Namjoon's words rang through your head over and over again.

'Don't be that girl then.'

Did that mean what you thought it did? Was this the end of this ridiculous rollercoaster that you called love? The concept was unacceptable to you. This couldn't be over. You had both promised forever.

You weren't even completely sure of what you had done. Having Jae answer your phone had been an extremely stupid call on your part but Namjoon was a rational man, a man who would usually not be phased by the gender of the people you chose to hang out with.

Then it hit you that that wasn't the issue. The issue was the fact that no one knew about him.

You had not been intentionally deceitful, you just genuinely had no idea how to explain your hellish situation. There was no explaining it without at least a spark of the truth. But you supposed that Namjoon didn't see it that way. You were suddenly hurt by how much he was obviously misjudging your character right now.

A knock at your door made you jump and your internal monologue drew rapidly to a halt.

'Come in.' You shouted and heard the door click open.

'Sorry Y/N, I forgot my ph....' Your eyes met Jae as he entered your apartment for the second time that day. Suddenly he was striding to your side, his long legs making short work of the distance between you. 'What's wrong? Why are you crying?' He bent down in front of you and subconsciously put his hand on your knee as some form of comfort.

You reached your shaking hand up to touch your cheek and realised that he was right. You were crying and from the dampness of your cheeks, you guessed you were crying a lot. You pulled your sleeve down over your hand and rubbed at your cheeks roughly with it, suddenly embarrassed.

'I'm okay, I'm okay.' You mumbled, once for his benefit and the second for your own.

'Talk to me, it's okay.' His eyes were searching yours desperately, worry heavy within them. You were suddenly shaken by how attractive he was. Any other girl would probably be thankful to have him there, but all you wanted was Namjoon, so desperately you ached.

'I can't,' You sobbed, still rubbing your cheeks of the fresh tears. Jae took your hand away from your now sore face and held it gently in his.

'You can.'

'Okay.' You whispered and he moved to sit next to you on the sofa, your hand still in his. His touch didn't set your skin alight like Namjoon's but it was somehow comforting and easy. 'I think I messed up. My boyfriend lives far away...' Jae's hand twitched slightly at the word boyfriend, but he didn't remove it from your grasp. 'He lives a very different life from mine and because of that we can't be together right now. I didn't know how to explain that to you, or to anyone else and then you answered my phone so now I guess he's mad and I don't really know how to fix it.' The words tumbled from your mouth quickly and you realised that if you had just explained it like this in the first place then none of this would of happened.

'Hmmm...so that's Namjoon right?' He asked and you nodded in reply. 'Well I'm not good at this kind of thing but I bet he'll come round eventually. He'd be stupid to let a girl like you go for something so small.' You blushed slightly and saw that Jae's cheeks reflected the same pinkness of your own.

'Thanks Jae,' You mumbled and looked down at your hand in his.

'Do you want me to stay for a while? I've got time.' He asked and you nodded reluctantly before putting on the tv.

Namjoon waited nervously as he held his phone to his ear. The concept of apologising to you was terrifying to him and the concept of you not accepting that was even more terrifying.

'Namjoon?' The voice on the other end of the phone was the last he expected to be answering his call.

'Your the guy from earlier right?' He growled in the calmest tone he could.

'I guess I am yeah,' Jae laughed.

'Why are you answering Y/N's phone again?'

'She's sleeping, on my shoulder as it so happens.' Jae laughed again and Namjoon could tell that he was enjoying this. He felt hurt and scared all at once but not by you. He knew how easily you trusted people and how easily you were taken in by the apparent kindness of others. He had decided to trust you and no stranger was going to change that. 'So tell me Namjoon,' Jae continued, saying his name in a mocking tone that made Namjoon's blood boil. 'What is so important that it takes you so far away from this beautiful girl?'

'My beautiful girl.' Namjoon's voice was cracking and he was very aware that he was losing his cool and it was beginning to show in his words. 'What exactly are you doing in her apartment?'

'Well I left my phone here so I came to get it. I was met by a very upset and completely broken girl. A girl who was crying because of you. Are you really worth her tears?' Jae's words were harsh and uncalled for and Namjoon understood that he was a vile person who was only showing you one side of himself, the side he wanted you to see.

'I really think you should leave Y/N alone.' Namjoon was shaking now and he couldn't remember ever being so angry in all his life. 'You have no idea who I am.' Namjoon found himself using his fame and the power that came with that for the first time.

'In all honesty I didn't know you even existed until an hour ago so who you are isn't really of interest to me. It is a shame though, I was really starting to fall for her.' He sighed heavily. 'She really is so beautiful when she's sleeping isn't she?' Namjoon's heart raced and he couldn't hold in his anger anymore.

'Don't you dare touch her. If you do....'

'Seriously? What are you going to do? Your half way across the world as far as I'm aware. Goodbye Namjoon, have a good day.' The phone beeped harshly in Namjoon's ear as Jae hung up.

He held the phone in his hand tightly, causing the cut on his knuckles to reopen and blood began to pour down his hand. He flung open the door suddenly and shouted down the corridor.

'Hyung!!' He wasn't sure who he was shouting to but Jin, J-Hope and Yoongi all appeared from separate doors, looking distressed from the urgent shout of their leader.

'Let's get this show done quickly. We have a day off tomorrow and I need to get to the airport.'
