Namjoon was staring down at his bleeding hand when Yoongi reentered the room. He didn't even look up as he heard the door click shut and felt the sofa move gently next to him as Yoongi sat on it.

'Namj....' He began.

'Why do I feel like this hyung? I...I...' he chocked on his words and tears began to pool in his eyes. He rubbed them with the palm of his hands, praying that this would make the tears stop. 'I'm so angry, but I can't lose her.'

Yoongi placed his hand gently on Namjoon's shoulder and patted it gently. 'Explain to me what happened and we'll work it out together, just like we always do.'

Namjoon raised his head from his hands and looked at Yoongi, thankfully. He was struck by the notion that he had no idea what he would do without him, or the other boys.

'She says she's sick and that a friend from work took her home. He answered her phone and it completely threw me.' He met Yoongi's eyes again, which were laced with questioning confusion. 'I was mad about that, and I know that was stupid. I should be happy that she has friends like that. Really I suppose I was jealous that it wasn't me looking after her. But then...what she said...I can't even...' He looked away from Yoongi again, unable to say the words to explain what had happened next.

'It's okay, take your time.' Yoongi lent forward, placing his elbow on his knee and cupping his cheek in the palm of his hand. His looked at Namjoon like this with a sideways glance, a casual but piercing look. A look that told Namjoon he was in this conversation for the long haul, no matter how long this took, he was going to make everything okay again in whatever way he could.

'She told me that she hasn't told anyone about me. That none of her friends at work know about me. I just can't process that. She's all I talk about right?' Yoongi smiled and nodded affectionately. 'So how come she doesn't do the same with me?' Namjoon poked lightly at his cut knuckles, focusing his pain there, but nothing could hurt more then his heart did right now.

Yoongi paused for a few seconds before providing his answer. Firstly to make sure that Namjoon was done and secondly to organise his reply in the best possible way.

'Her world is very different from ours Namjoon. Do you realise how damaging it could be for her if people found out she was dating you? And how damaging it could be for you and us? Not everyone in this world is as accepting or as kind as Y/N. You've seen it first hand. People who hate us because of who we are, people who hate us because we're idols. They are everywhere and they could even be at Y/N's workplace.'

'But she didn't mention me at all. She didn't have to tell people I was an idol. That's not all I am. I'm more then just an idol. I thought she of all people knew that.' Namjoon's voice was heavy and he leant back on the sofa, his eyes raised to the ceiling, still blinking back tears.

'She knows that more then anyone, more then even you do sometimes. Maybe she just didn't know how to explain your situation. It's very unique and would be very hard to explain away with anything but the truth. You know that right?'

'Hmmm....' Namjoon hummed and the anger began to retreat from his heart. 'I owe her an apology don't I?'

'I'd say so. Your damn good at over reacting when it comes to her. Just because your not with her right now doesn't mean that she isn't yours. She's been yours from the beginning and no random guy or a little lie about your existence is going to take that away okay?' Yoongi's words were heartfelt and true and Namjoon felt that, powerfully. He smiled at Yoongi, overwhelmed by gratitude for his friend.

'What would I do without you and the others?' He asked suddenly, realising that he didn't voice his appreciation for them enough.

'You'd probably have a lot more peace and quiet.' Yoongi smiled and sqooze Namjoon's shoulder gently.

'I'd take the 6 of you over peace and quiet any day.'
