You stood alone and afraid outside of your workplace. If you had thought Namjoon's conversation with his manager was going to change everything then you really had no idea. No the burden was on your shoulders, Namjoon had done his part. Now it was your turn to carry out your part of the plan.

You took a step forward, trying to forget that Namjoon and Jin were back at home, packing away your things in the blind hope that this was going to go well. Your breath stuck heavily in your throat as you stepped inside and your chest became heavy.

You entered the office as if it was just another day of work, walked past the waving receptionist and the work colleagues that glanced briefly at you before returning to their own schedules.

You took one final deep breath as you reached your bosses door and knocked gently.

'Come in!' Came a shout from the other side. You stepped inside and were relieved to find him in a good mood.

'Ahhh....Y/N! My favourite little columnist! What brings you here on this fine morning?' He bellowed, welcoming you to sit down at his desk.

'Morning sir. I have a favour to ask.' You took the invited seat and looked nervously down at your shaking hands.

'What favour would that be?'

You closed your eyes for the briefest of seconds and then looked up at him, the man who had been kind enough to personally take you under his wing during your time at this company. A man who you knew respected your writing and valued it to his company. Something you were about to ask him to let go of.

'I have an opportunity to go on tour with a Korean pop group called BTS, I don't know if you've heard of them?' You didn't drop your gaze from his, determination steadying your resolve.

He rubbed at his chin and looked up, thinking. After a few seconds he clicked his fingers. 'Yes! Of course I have! Rei from the music department is always asking me to let her cover them!'

'Well, I have this opportunity. And well....their manager would like me to cover their tour as a weekly article in our magazine. I would work on the road and send over everything complete and ready to publish.'

'That is quite a fantastic opportunity you got yourself there missy! How did you manage that?' His interest was peaking and you tried to squash down the excitement that was rising in you. This wasn't a done deal yet.

'One of the members is a close friend of mine.' You replied, blushing at the little white lie. It was true that you were close with all the members but this was all because of Namjoon.

'Hmm...well I'd say this is an excellent opportunity for both you and us! A far cry from your usual article but I can pull a few strings...'

'There's one more thing.' You interrupted him, suddenly needing to release the words you still held back. He titled his head to the side, questioning your words. 'This would be my last project. I would report until the end of the tour, and then I'll be moving back to Korea. I won't be able to write for this magazine anymore.' Tears began to prick at the corners of your eyes. You loved your job here and felt sad to be leaving but sadly you loved a certain Korean idol far more.

'Well...I'll be extremely sad to see you go of course. You've been an incredible asset to this company and we have been so lucky to have you. But your life belongs to you alone and that is your decision to make. Who am I to deny you? You write those articles for me until the end of their tour and I'll see if I can't set you up with a good company in Korea okay?' He smiled fondly at you and you smiled back.

'Thank you so much sir!' You half sobbed the words and held your hand out to shake his. He took it and shook it happily.

'I hope all your dreams come true Y/N, you deserve it. Now go clean that desk out quickly before I change my mind and make you stay forever.' He smiled again and turned his back to look out of the huge glass window that lay at the back of his office.

'Yes sir, thank you again.' You whispered as you left. Suddenly you had no idea what you had been so afraid of. Your boss was the kindest of men and you really couldn't imagine him ever saying no.

You walked over to your desk and began to pack your things into a box, sadness filling your heart and falling from your eyes.

'Hey,' You heard a faint whisper and felt a hand clasp gently on your shoulder. You turned, quickly wiping the tears from your eyes.

'Hi Jae.' You replied on seeing him.

'So you're really leaving?' He asked, looking down at the full box you now held in your hands.

'I guess I am.' You answered, the words surprising even yourself. Your life had been uprooted in a matter of hours but you guessed this is what it was to be in love with an idol.

'I'll miss you, keep in touch okay?' Jae took the box from your arms, placed it back in your desk and pulled you into a hug.

'I will, I promise.' You whispered into his chest.

'And Y/N, I'm sorry about the way I treated Namjoon. He's a good guy.'

'Im sorry about how he treated you. But your right, he's a good guy.' You smiled up at Jae and a new wave of sadness crashed into you at saying goodbye to such a good friend.

'I'll walk you out.' Jae picked up your box of belongings and you both began to walk towards the exit.

As you reached the doors you saw Namjoon and Jin waiting for you next to a taxi. You looked up at Jae and he nodded. 'It's okay, I'll come say bye and see you off.' You both continued the short walk outside.

'How did it go?' Namjoon asked on seeing you.

'We're all clear.' You replied. Namjoon smiled widely and pulled you close to him.

Jae handed Jin your box of belongings, who then put it onto the back seat of the taxi.

'Bye Jae.' You whispered and gave him one last hug. Namjoon and Jin shook his hand and your heart soared as they seemed to reconcile and push aside their differences.

'Look after her.' Jae said simply in Namjoon's direction as he shook his hand, tightening his grip slightly.

'I will.' Namjoon replied.

'Yeah, I was right. Your a good guy.' And with that Jae was gone, wandering back into the building with his hands shoved heavily in his pockets.

Namjoon turned his attention back to you.

'Ready?' He asked holding out his hand for you to take. Of course, you took it.

'Ready as I'll ever be.'
