Six Paths Chakra

Nikko traced his fingers along the magatama on his skin. Hanime and Yakama were late. He looked to his kunai, littered about the battlefield carelessly.

"Nikko!" Kakashi said, "It's time to go."

Nikko's eyes fell to Sasori. "Not yet," he said, "I'll catch up."

"Very well," Kakashi said. He took an unconscious Naruto and headed back to the Leaf.

Nikko raised an eyebrow when he observed the puppetmaster's corpse. "You're supposed to be powerful?"

Hanime approached from the cave opening. "What's up?" he asked.

"One Akatsuki member is dead," Nikko said, "The other got away."

"And what does that have to do with us?" Yakama asked, dropping down from the ruined plateau.

"Pain is going to be irate when he finds out," Nikko said, "We can't go back."

"And?" asked Hanime, "So what?"

"We're going to kill pain eventually," Nikko said, "First, however, we must find and kill Itachi Uchiha."

Hanime smiled. "Back for revenge, huh?"

"There may be clues to his whereabouts at our house," Nikko said, "Let's go."

The trio then started for the Leaf.

After three days of travelling, they reached their destination. Nikko stopped at the gate and watched the villagers go about their daily activities.

"So naive," he said, "They have no clue the danger that lies out there." The boy started for the Uchiha Clan's section of the village.

He threw a marked kunai toward his house and teleported to it. The boy caught his kunai and his feet touched the ground. Hanime and Yakama joined him.

Nikko sensed a familiar chakra. He whirled around, bringing a kunai with him. The kunai was blocked by a black staff. Nikko sighed and relaxed.

"Lord Hagoromo," the boy said, "Welcome back to the world of the living."

Hagoromo smiled. "Your choices are interesting," he said, "Let's see what choices you make with this."

He formed a sphere of chakra and blew on it. It gently glided toward and phased into Nikko. The young Uchiha narrowed his eyes.

"I have given you my chakra," Hagoromo said, "Though, you will need a catalyst to activate it."

Nikko smiled. "Wonderful," he said, "With this, I can protect the village from anyone."

Hagoromo vanished then.

Hanime cocked his head. "Hagoromo Otsutsuki," he said, "Was that really him?"

Nikko closed his eyes. He could feel a new power in them. "Yes," he said, "Let's hurry. I have bad memories of this place and I'd rather not be here longer than I have to."

Nikko opened his eyes and saw that his vision had returned to its one hundred percent, better than it'd been before he'd awakened his Sharingan.

Yakama spoke, "Your eyes are. . . They've got ripples."

"Your eyes are almost like Pain's now," Hanime said, "Only, they're not solid purple."

Nikko pulled a kunai and observed himself. His eyes, sure enough, looked almost like the Rinnegan. The boy smiled. "I, Nikko Otsutsuki, will take Pain on with eyes like his own."

"Otsutsuki, huh?" Hanime asked. He shrugged. "I'm down to be in a clan with you."

Nikko and the Six Paths of Pain stood across from each other. Neither of them said a word. They prepared themselves for combat.

"Summoning Jutsu," one of the Pains said.

A three-headed dog appeared in a cloud of smoke and rushed Nikko. Nikko narrowed his eyes and jumped over the dog.

"Horse, tiger," Nikko said as he formed the hand signs, "Fire Style: Fireball Jutsu!" He blew the flames toward the Pains.

One of the Pains stepped forward and absorbed the jutsu. Nikko bit his lip an frowned as he hit the ground.

He threw himself forward. He pulled a kunai from his pack and rushed Deva Pain.

Deva put a hand out before him. "Almighty push!"

Nikko was thrown back by the blast. He then threw his marked kunai at Deva. The pain caught the kunai.

Nikko teleported to the kunai. He pulled his fist back and swung it for Deva's head. Deva tilted his head to the side to avoid the blow. Four, Nikko thought, Five.

"Almighty Push," Deva said. Nikko flew back.

When Nikko hit the ground, he sidestepped the dog. He formed a Rasengan and rushed Preta Pain. Preta absorbed the jutsu and punched Nikko in the forehead. Nikko crumpled to the floor, unconscious.
