Nikko donned his ANBU cloak and mask. "Okay," Ukimora said, "Why don't you tell me a little about yourself?"
"My name is Nikko Uchiha," Nikko said, "I never knew my mother and my older brother killed my clan. How's that?"
Ukimora smiled and rolled his eyes beneath his mask. "Good enough," he said, "Come. Let's go find out what you're capable of."
Nikko and Ukimora walked to the nearby forest. Upon Ukimora's orders, Nikko began the battle. He hid himself in the trees and activated his Sharingan.
Ukimora scanned the foliage for him. When he didn't see Nikko, he examined the footprints the boy left in the dirt. He looked to his left and threw a pair of kunai in that direction.
Neither of the kunai hit Nikko. He's not over there, Ukimora thought.
A trio of shuriken whizzed toward him. He spun around and caught them from the air. His eyes widened when he saw the thread connected to them, as well as flames crawling across them.
Fire style? Ukimora thought, but he's fresh from the academy. He threw the shuriken away and rushed toward Nikko.
The young Uchiha caught Ukimora's kunai on his own and reached for the ANBU. Ukimora jumped over Nikko, grabbed his hood, and threw him into a tree.
Nikko recovered just quickly enough to dodge a punch to the face. He threw one of his marked kunai into the air and transported himself to it. He then grabbed out of the air and threw it at the ground. He transported himself to it when it buried itself in the dirt.
"Interesting," Ukimora said from the tree. He jumped to the ground. "How's your genjutsu?"
"I'm pretty good with it," Nikko said, "and unless an Uchiha casts it, there is no genjutsu that will work on me."
"I see," Ukimora said. He vanished abruptly and appeared behind Nikko. "My genjutsu seems to work just fine."
Nikko gasped. "What the Hell?" he asked.
"My kekkei genkai works a lot like that Sharingan of yours," Ukimora said, "Direct eye contact, and I can alter how you see time. Consider this information a gift."
Nikko smiled beneath his mask. "Information like that is expensive in the ANBU," he said, "are you sure you want to give it away so freely?"
"Of course," Ukimora said as he put his kunai away, "I've decided that I like you."
Nikko turned around and avoided eye contact. "What's next?" he asked.
"There's always some work we can do," Ukimora said, "Come on."
Nikko followed Ukimora to the village. "What kind of work will we be doing?" he asked.
"Normally when one joins the ANBU, they pick one of seven divisions to enter," Ukimora said, "They divisions are as follows: The Falcon Division, Owl Division, Bear Division, Cat Division, Frog Division, Wolf Division, and Dragon Division. Each one specializes in a type of task. However, if you were to be pinned to a single division, Danzo would find you easily. So, we can do all sorts of work."
"I see," Nikko said, "So who do we report to?"
"Lord Hokage," said Ukimora.
Nikko suppressed the rest of his questions as the pair walked toward the Hokage office. When they entered, Iruka and Hiruzen were having tea.
"Lord Hokage," Ukimora said, "He's ready for mission."
"Okay then," Hiruzen said. He pulled an envelope from his robe and held it out.
Ukimora stepped forward and took it. He opened it and read it. He then handed it to Nikko. Nikko read it and handed it back to Ukimora. "At once," Ukimora said.
The two ANBU left the room. "Where do you think we should start?" Nikko asked.
"The Seven Swordsmen of the Mist disbanded years ago," Ukimora said, "It's hard to say where we should start."
"Are we really supposed to kill all seven of them?" Nikko asked.
"Yes," Ukimora said, "that's what the letter says."
"Jeez," said Nikko, "and these guys are supposed to be big shots, right?"
Ukimora nodded. So many questions, he thought, Curious boy, isn't he? "Maybe Ibiki can tell us where to start."
The pair walked to the interrogation corps' headquarters.
"Ibiki," Ukimora said when they arrived, "You have anything on the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist?"
"Not much," Ibiki said, "Just that Itachi Uchiha supposedly killed Juzo Biwa." That caught Nikko's attention. "Might Duy fought them once, maybe Guy can tell you more."
Ukimora thanked Ibiki and he turned to leave. "Itachi killed one of them, huh," Nikko said, "Where?"
Ukimora winced beneath his mask. "The land of Water," Ukimora said, "We'll go there eventually. For now, let's go talk to Guy."

Hagoromo Otsutsuki watched Naruto and Sasuke. Indra and Asura have reincarnated again, have they? he thought, At least my chakra finally found a host. Maybe he'll end the feud.
