Dustin's Point Of View

"Why did you taunt yourself?" Victoria brought her green eyes to stare into mine, waiting for a response.

"It wasn't taunting. I wanted to show you, to show myself, that I could be that close physically to you."

"I think you were trying to prove it more to yourself than to me."

"You think that I can be physically close to you?"

"I know you can." She sounded so confident, I wanted to believe her but I shook my head, gravely, "Dustin, you're stronger than you think." I turned to gaze into her eyes.

"Thank you, Victoria." A grin spread across my face and I was rewarded with a grin from Victoria that lit up her eyes. She laid down on the sand and stared at the sky, I laid down beside her, "I want to know more about you." I looked at her from the corner of my eye and she looked pleased.

"I want to know more about you too. Why don't we go back and forth asking questions?" She turned on her side to look at me.

"Okay. Ladies first." I turned on my side and we were looking at each other.

"Do you have a special power like Edward Cullen?" I nodded, "What is it?"

"You would like to know, wouldn't you?" She nodded.

"I would."

"I can read a persons mind and change their thoughts or actions as I please. No, I have never changed your thoughts or actions, though I admit to reading your mind." I laughed, Victoria smiled gratefully, "What's your favorite color?" She looked thoughtful for a moment.

"I like rainbow." She rolled onto her back and gazed at the sky with a peaceful smile on her face.

"Why do you like rainbow?"

"Because I love all colors and believe it or not, rainbow is the perfect shade of every color." I couldn't help but smile at how deep her logic was. "What about you?"

"I like green."

"Why?"

"Because your eyes are green." I admitted and I could see the hints of a blush appeared on her cheeks.

"Have you ever killed a person?" I hadn't been reading her mind, the question startled me.

"Yes." I watched her face for a flicker of any emotion, but I heard her heart start beating quicker.

Victoria's Point Of View

Dustin and I were laying on the sand of the volleyball court, and I was staring at the sky. We were learning more about each other, and I couldn't help but love every second him and I spent together. I wondered if he was reading my thoughts right now, it was weird knowing he knew what I was thinking and could make me do something else. I wanted to know more and more about him, I wanted to hear his voice again, it was addicting, like a beautiful song flowing into my ears.

"Have you ever killed a person?" I asked, knowing that he probably had but wanted to hear him say it.

"Yes." He answered, I could feel his eyes scanning my face. My heart began to beat faster and I caught my breath. It scared me a little, but not in the fearing for my life way, he moved closer to me. "Do I scare you now?" He spoke in a husky whisper.

"A little." I admitted slowly and Dustin smirked.

"Good."

"I'm not scared of you though, Dustin. The thought of such a sweet guy killing someone, is what scares me. But, it's a little comical." I giggled and he groaned.
