Victoria's Point Of View

"Did you drink human blood?"

"Yes."

"But you've stopped?"

"Correct." I took in a sharp intake of breath.

"You drink animal blood now?"

"Not really. Synthetic."

"Okay." Him drinking human blood that recently scared me a little.

"Are you scared of me?" His face was so close to my own if I moved forward, our lips would touch.

"I'm scared of what you did." I said quietly. He kept eye contact for a moment longer before appearing with a bottle of dark red liquid. I didn't even see him move. "That looks delicious." I said sarcastically.

"It is." He cracked a small smile, drank some then returned the bottle to the refrigerator.

"How old are you?"

"Over 1,000 years old."

"Damn, i've been hanging out with an old man." He chuckled.

"You have." He responded, his voice taking a playful tone.

"I should get back." He stood up and helped me up. "Thanks." I followed him out and into his car.

When we got there, he followed me into the house. We walked into the familiar house and Kristen and Rachel immediately stood as we entered. Kristen rushed to hug me.

"Where have you been? We thought you left. But you were not home!"

"I went to Jesse's and-"

"We were practicing her compulsion." Jesse interrupted, lying smoothly. I looked at him in confusion.

"For three hours?" Rachel asked with a smile. "I bet you are doing well."

"I think I am." I offered a small smile.

"She is. When she is concentrating, you can not say no to her." Jesse said.

"I suppose we will have to see when your lessons are done." I smiled and nodded.

"Rachel?" Joesph appeared into the room and smiled at us. "Hello Victoria." I waved.

"Yes, Joesph?"

"Would you like to come hunting with me?" Rachel smiled and took her husband's hand.

"Of course." They flew from the house after their goodbye's.

"It has been quite a day for you." Jesse noted, I nodded.

"What happened?" Kristen asked, her eyes concerned.

"Well the Luke thing, then a v-"

"Wait until Dustin is here so you do not have to repeat the story." Jesse interrupted.

"I heard my name." Dustin said as he appeared beside Kristen. Seeing him brought back memories of what he said to me and I felt tears well up in my eyes. Be strong, I chanted as I blinked them back.

"Yes, well Victoria, go on." Jesse smirked at Dustin.

"Well after the Luke and James thing, then what Dustin said, and then there was a vampire at Jesse's house and I was hurt badly and Jesse gave me some of his blood to heal me." Dustin's face crumpled.

"You drank from him?" Pain edged onto his words.

"She did and it was delightful." Jesse smirked and brought a casual arm around my shoulders.
