Luke's Point Of View
On Monday, I drove to Victoria's school to pick her up. I got out of school 30 minutes before she did so it gave me a lot of extra time. I arrived at her school and parked to wait for her to come out. I thought about what a twist of fate it was that she forgot the leech and remembered me. She knew that they were dating but she still wanted me. It felt so good to finally have her, to finally be able to call her mine. My mind flashed back to when she smiled at me the other day and I felt my mouth turn up at the corners. I made her happy and it felt great. When I saw her coming over, a grin formed.
"Hey!" She kissed me and smiled cutely.
"Hey baby. How was school?" We got in the car and she groaned.
"Annoying. Yours?" I chuckled.
"Same. I missed you." I could hear her heart speed up.
"I missed you too, Lukey." I glanced at her from the corner of my eye, she looked so comfortable.
"Do you wanna go to your house or mine?"
"Can we go to mine? Nate said he had to tell me something."
"Sure." I drove to her house and we went in the house, holding hands. Vic stumbled over a suitcase.
"Mom?" She called, and suddenly Mrs. Greene appeared looking flustered. "What's with the suitcases?"
"Well..honey. We're going to England! Nate got a scholarship!" Mrs. Greene smiled at her daughter.
"Woah. We? As in everybody!?" Victoria exclaimed, I felt my heart clench. She can't leave me.
"Yes." Mrs. Greene smiled wider, Victoria stormed upstairs with me in tow.
"Nate. Please convince them to leave me home. Please." She begged, tears collecting in her eyes.
"Tori.." He sighed, Victoria pulled her puppy dog face and he groaned. "Fine!" He walked out.
"Vic." I muttered, she turned to me with a frown and hugged me tightly.
"I don't wanna go." She whispered into my chest, I could feel a couple tears fall down her cheeks.
"Baby. Nate will convince them." I made her look at me. "It'll be okay." I promised, kissing her forehead.
"Okay." She smiled and kissed me lightly. "You're the best boyfriend ever."
"You're the best girlfriend ever." She blushed a light pink and I stroked her cheek with my thumb.
"You're staying here." Nate came back in with a smile. Victoria squealed and hugged him.
"Thank you so much!" She exclaimed, Nate held up a finger.
"One condition." He turned to me. "You keep her out of danger. Okay, Luke?" Victoria squealed.
"Yes Nate." I answered, seeing the seriousness in his eyes.
"Keep her away from the vampires. I don't mind you, kid. You're not bad. Keep her safe, and don't break her heart or hurt her. I have to go train a new vampire in England for a few months but that doesn't mean I won't kick your ass so hard if you hurt her." He warned, murder in his eyes.
"I'll keep her safe." I promised and we shook hands.
"Thank you, Luke." Victoria ran back in and jumped on my back, I laughed.
"This is gonna be so fun!" She gushed, smiling like a little kid in a candy store.
"It better not be too much fun." Nate glared playfully, Victoria giggled.
