Oh, no. How could this be happening?
Everything....just...burning. The trees. The forest. Everything.
I needed to escape. I needed to get out of here alive and succeed. To tell that demon that I can beat him. I started to run really fast, looking everywhere. But, it seemed like I was running in circles. It was extremely hot and soon, I was going to pass out. I heard moans and cries of pleas from a distance.
Where could they be coming from?
My ice powers couldn't work? We'll see about that.
I concentrated on a tree and I noticed how the ice was forming on it. I smirked, letting out a soft chuckle. But that's when the ice on the tree started to melt away from the fire. My eyes began to wide in shock.
Holy shit.
The fire on that tree began to increase as I fell on my back, surprised. I stood up, grabbing my sword as I started to run away. But it seems like I had nowhere to go. It was like I was running in circles, I didn't know where I was heading to, I couldn't see anything but burning trees surrounding me. Then, the cries of pleas and moans were starting to be heard slightly clear. I followed the sounds, to see where they were coming from. Until I finally found them. My friends. Taylor, Riley and Daniel tied up in a rope, crying uncontrollably.
This was a difficult choice.
Riley gasped. "Elise!"
Taylor and Daniel were continuously crying and screaming for help.
I could either save them or save myself. If I save them, I could hurt myself badly, or even die. If I save myself, they, um, they die. I debated until I made a final decision.
I grabbed my sword tightly and turned around from them. I began to run away as fast as I could. I can't die yet. I'm the Guardian of the proxy. I want people to praise me.
When I turned around, my eyes widened. Sonic was flying over to me, smiling big and showing his sharp teeth. I turned back and ran slightly faster. When I glanced behind me, he was extremely closer to me, by my shoulder if I'm more specific. I attacked him with my sword to draw him off, but instantly in that moment, in a blink of an eye, he was gone. I began to losen my speed, breathing in relief. I turned my head back and saw him flying to me this way now. I started to panic and turned around, but when I did, he was there. I turned around once again as we did the same repeatedly several more times. I went to attack him with my sword but he instantly disappeared. I tried to relax, but I didn't let my guard down. I was panting. When I turned around to run, there he was. "Stop!" I finally yelled, shooting ice at his arm, but it melted away quickly. He began to laugh slowly and demoniacally. "You're too slow,"
I started to hyperventilate, not knowing what to do in this situation.
I saw him walking slowly and closer towards me. I could see his head tilting to a side as he smiled maniacally. The last thing I saw were his red orbs from his eyes.
And then...everything turned into darkness.
I blacked out.
*SONIC.EXE'S P.O.V*
"We gotta talk," I stormed into Ben's room. I had just placed Elise on the couch, since Masky and Hoodie told me it wasn't necessary for her to go to the laboratory because she wasn't that hurt. Only a couple of wounds and scars. Hoodie placed a heating pad on her forehead so she could wake up from her unconsciousness. "Are you talking to me?" he asked, his eyes glued to the TV while he played video games, not even turning back to look at me. I looked around. "Who else could I be talking to, you ass," I grunted, "pause it. Because this might interest you,"
"What's it about?" he asked.
"Elise,"
He quickly paused the game, turning off the console and turning back to face me. "What about her?"
"We had training today. And this time I used Illusions. I made her think the whole forest was on fire. I have a question; Is she the kind of person in which if her friends could be in danger, would she sacrifice herself or would she run away and leave them behind?" I questioned. Ben let out a quiet gasp and gave me a puzzled look. I was wondering what was happening in his mind. "She would obviously sacrifice herself. Not only for her friends, but also for her family. She's the nicest person I know," he stated.
"Not anymore." I remarked. Ben continuously asked, "What do you mean,"
"Well," I started, "I played with her mind and made her think her friends were tied up and almost burning to death. In that moment, she had to make a choice. Sacrifice herself in the wild fire to save her friends from it, or run away. She quickly turned around and left them behind. In a real situation, she would've been capable of leaving her friends or family to die."
"Did she know it was all just Hallucination?" asked Ben. I shook my head no.
Ben's eyes widened. "Fuck," was all he murmured.
"What the hell is wrong with her?" he asked his self. I shrugged. "She was super weird that night....I wonder what happened to her on Halloween night. She was completely normal and fine before she went trick or treating with her friends, but she arrived slightly late and grumpy too. After that, she started seducing me. Which is like the end of the world because she is incapable of doing something like that,"
"We could try and ask her," I suggested.
"With her bitchy attitude? I doubt it,"
"We gotta figure out what the fuck happened--"
"Since when do you care so much about her? I thought you were only here to train her," Ben narrowed his eyes. I took that aback. "Fuck you. Figure out this shit by yourself," I teleported.
....
"How's she?" I asked Masky.
"She left," he responded. "What?"
"She stood up, glared at us, and left the mansion. We're also confused," remarked Hoodie.
"Not a word? She didn't say anything?" I inquired. They both shook their heads no.
Damn.
