"We already know the gig. They always try to summon one of us at three in the morning. Turns out, they will have their surprise, just not as they planned," a smirk grew on Ben's lips as he told me this.God, what is he planning to do? I know that smirk. And that smirk means no good news. I know he doesn't kill people. He just, tortures them. I don't even know which is worse. Eh, probably killing. "Where will we sleep?"
"Duh. In the van. Where else?" cackled Ben.
I gasped. "I don't know. A motel?"
Ben began to laugh. "And, you're paying, right?"
I crossed my arms and gave him a scornful look. What does he think his doing? I nodded my head. "I could pay--"
"No can do, Princess. We can't stay in a motel." spoke Jeff.
"But--"
"We're not staying in a motel. End of story. Now, shut up." he demanded. I let out a sigh through my nose as my stomach began to grumble. Oh, no. Not now....
"What was that? Was that you?" Ben asked me. I looked away to the window, blushing faintly. "Is my wittle Elise hungwy?" cooed Ben, cuping my chin with his hand. I bit my lower lip and started to give a slow nod. "I have a Snickers Bar," remarked Jeff.
"Can't we stop at Wendy's or something?"
"No--" Jeff and Ben responded in unison. "Fine. Just give me the Snicker." I sighed.
Jeff let out a scoff. " 'Give you the Snicker'? Fuck no. We'll spliting it for the three of us."
"Ugh," I muttered under my breath. I looked at my Rose Gold watch. 7:26 pm. Two days. Only two days with them. That's all I have to wait, two days. "We'll stop at a nearby Wendy's." spoke Ben. I found my eyes suddenly looking at him. "Of course, you will get in by yourself, for obvious reasons, but--" he took out his phone. "The nearby Wendy's is one hour away."
I groaned, crossing my arms. "Never mind. I'll eat Wendy's for breakfast."
Then, out of nowhere, Ben drove into the woods. A scream came from my mouth, gazing at Ben with my eyes wide. "What're you doing?!"
He didn't stop driving, though. He dodged every tree that came his way and finally, stopped in front of an abandoned building. "Well, goodnight--" he chuckled softly.
"What?! What do you think your doing? What's wrong with you? Where are we?" I asked. Ben sighed deeply. "This is where Jeff, EJ and I slept the last time. It's kinda safe. Of course we're sleeping inside the car. So, make yourself comfortable,"
'Kind of'. Those two words kinda bothered me. I gazed back at Jeff, he was already laid down, possibly sleeping, already with his sleeping mask on. "Seriously?" I asked Ben. He slowly nodded. "Mhm!"
He opened his arms wide and I already knew what this meant. I went up to him and snuggled in his chest. He wrapped his warm arms around me. I actually expected him to be cold by the car's AC, and also because he's basically dead. He's actually warm. Love never felt so good. Before I knew it, I slowly drifted myself to sleep.
I opened my eyes wide and looked around, slightly nervous. I looked to the backseat and didn't see Jeff where he was supposed to be laying down. Should I?
Without waking Ben up, I got out of Ben's embrace and quietly, opened the car's door. This is probably the worst thing I have ever done. I got out and closed the door. "Jeff--?" I murmured. A strong smell of ciggarette got to me. My eyes adjusted to the dark, and in a distance, slightly far from the car, was Jeff, resting his back against a tree. I pinched my nose and walked up to him. "Jeff," I called, again. Before he looked down at me, he blew out smoke from his mouth. "What're you doing here?" he inquired me. "I should be asking the same thing to you." I responded.
"I'm just... I don't know. I'm not used to sleeping at this hour. It's too early."
I let go of my nose. "Why do you smoke--?"
He let out a sigh through his nose, dropping the cigarrette on the floof and stepping on it, finally putting it out. "It's just a habit I took since Sky was banished," he started, "I couldn't deal with it so to 'relax' myself, I began to smoke."
"But.....she's back. Why are you still smoking?" I tilted my head to a side.
He sat down on the floor, tapping it with his hand so I could sit down as well. I did as he asked me to. "She is back. But not the Sky I know. And...it's really hard to stop this habit. It's kinda addicting. Well, really addicting."
"Isn't it easy to recover from that?"
He shook his head no. "Not at all. I have anger issues. I normally smoke two or three times an hour. So, If I don't smoke a cigarette in good five solid hours, be scared."
I began to clean my finger-nails with my own nails. "You could get help, though--"
"Don't want to." he cut me off.
"Fine," I muttered under my breath, "hey, um, I've never met Sky and everyone talks about her. How was she?"
He let out a soft chuckle. "She was the craziest girl I knew. But, she was also the love of my life. She was free. And she loved being free. Meaning that if she wanted to run to the farthest beach, she could. She had no restrictions. She had the power to be free, unlike other people, she didn't use her freedom for bad things. She was crazy, but kinda nice. Not as nice as you, though."
"Hah....hah.. What was her favorite color?"
"Red. Definetly red. I used to like whenever she put on her favorite, red jacket. It would somehow match with her green eyes. She used to look like the kind of stoner that would sell you fifteen grams for five follars. She wanted to smoke pot, but, sadly her dreams didn't come true due to Slendy scolding her ass," he cackled. "Was she close to Ben? They seem to have some things in common."
"They hated each other to death--"
I started to laugh hysterically. "Really? No--!"
He nodded his head. "You know, it's nice to have someone like you in my life. You're like my little sister,"
He rubbed my head, harsh. "Ay. Watch it,"
"You better go sleep. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day, kiddo."
"What about you?" I asked, standing up from the floor and wiping the dirt of my dress. "I'll wait a couple of minutes and go to sleep, too."
A small smile played on my lips, nodding slightly. "Thanks for the late chat. Goodnight."
"You too."
