"What are you, out of your mind?! That was my mother in there--!" I started to punch Ben repeteadly on his chest.
He grabbed my hands. "And if I didn't get you out of there, you could've died, too!" He yelled back at me. Tears began to fall down my cheeks. "We need to go--" he said before grabbing my arm and running off to the forest, seeing for the last time my home breaking down into pieces.
I wiped away my tears, running to the mansion along with Ben. But, I noticed they were all right outside the mansion. "Where did you run off to?!" Slender yelled at me. I snarled at him. "I was checking on my parents, but it was too late."
He let out a sigh. "Look, you need to come with me, only you and me. For Pencilneck opened four different portals for four different dimensions. We are not sure were they might be. But a clue are caverns. Come,"
"Elise, wait, before you go, can I have a private talk with you?" inquired Ben. I glanced up at Slender to see if he gave us the permission. Slender gave us a nod. "Be quick."
Ben pulled my hand into the mansion. I looked at him and tilted my head to a side. "What'd you want to talk with me about?"
He sighed, taking something I couldn't see out of his pocket. "Look, I wasn't planning on doing this now, but, since this just came out, I'm just gonna go for it--" he remarked, getting on one knee.
No.
Please, don't.
He opened a box, which had a black ring.
I'm speechless.
"I promise I will protect you, respect you, and I will keep loving you no matter what. I promise you will marry me after all of this is over. I can't imagine my world without you. You are my life. I love you so much, words can't describe this amount of love. I will stop playing video games for you! I would do anything for you. We will all survive. And we will happily get married. So, please, marry me--"
Marry him?
This is all going too fast. I just saw my mother die. And he's asking me to marry him? Who would seriously do this? Well, apperantly, him.
I mean, he didn't even asked me to marry him, he straight out just demanded me to marry him.
But, he is the only one worth living for. He will probably forget about it after this. I mean, I love him. Why not?
A smile began playing on my lips as I nodded quickly. His grin was so big, it melted my heart to see how happy he was. He put the ring on my finger as he stood up and wrapped me in a hug. "This ring will vibrate in coordination with my pulse. And so will mine with yours. This is 'TheTouch's HB' ring. A ring that'll recreate your heart rate on mine's HB ring. It's got a heart rate sensor baked in — like one in any other wearable — that picks up on your pulse and then broadcasts it with lights and vibrations on a separately paired ring. Basically wearers will always know whether they are still alive. Heheh. Pretty neat, right?"
I did feel his pulse. Which was weird, because, I thought he was a wraith. He is a wraith. But, if he's technically "dead", how do I feel his pulse?
"Wow," I scoffed, "it is neat. Thank you, really, thank you."
I pulled away from the hug, as he planted a kiss on my lips. I didn't think twice and kissed him back. His kisses, sending me to paradise. He pulled away from the kiss and wrapped his arm around his shoulder, walking out of the mansion. "We need to hurry--" he stated, I nodded affirmetavely as we got outside. "Come, child. Hurry up." said Slender, taking my hand and pulling me over to Pencilneck. I looked back at Ben and mouthed "I love you". He smiled and did the same. "Close your eyes, and when I tell youn, open them," stated Slender. I nodded and closed my eyes, as my body started to feel weird.
