°APOLOGY

It has been more than a week of her ignoring him and he can't let it go too far, or even until there engagement because that would cause problems. He would get constant nods and uh huhs and nothing more.

But it was her fault that he threatened him and not his. So why would he apologize? They're not even friends, so why would he?

He threw the remote in frustration as her pitiful face replayed in his mind making him unable to focus on his game.

"Oh fvck it!"

Jungkook waits outside the building for Roseanne to come out. His friends was somewhere observing if anything goes wrong because she is not an easy person. So, he bought roses for her.

"I'm doing this," he said, standing for half an hour in the heat. "For a broken phone? I must be out of my damn mind!"

But is he?

But he did feel a little guilty of breaking her phone. It would cause more pollution, you know, trash. But then again, who is he kidding? She was hurt and he didn't even know.

"How am I going to apologize?" He said in annoyance while glaring at his friends under one of the groves. "I don't know how to apologize to girls, I never apologized to my own mother for years!"

He was looking crazy right there talking and shouting at himself. But it was better than your photo being posted on the bulletin, right?

He was thinking so hard that he didn't almost notice a black wisp of hair passing by.

"Roseanne!"

The girl didn't stop walking, and didn't turn either. He rolled his eyes and jogged to her ignoring the big steps she was taking. She was so fast that he had to run after her until they crossed the gate.

"I told you, don't call me unless it's regarding the engagement," she said with no emotion. "Remember, I don't want this us turning into school news?"

"I came to apologize," he said, ignoring what she just said.

She stopped for a while, ignoring him.

"And why, pray tell, would you apologize?"

"You were ignoring me and I guessed you were mad at me for what happened last time, so here I am apologizing before this gets too far," he said, tip-toeing back and forth awkwardly.

She let out a humorless laugh and smirked. "Did you think I was affected with that? Jeon it was just a phone," she said. "Do you think I'm that shallow to get all sentimental over a phone? I'm Roseanne Park, I don't care. I threw the phone already, who knows where in this damn world could it be, still do I look like I care?"

"So you're not mad?"

"Whu would I be?" She said.

"Cut the shit Roseanne Park, you were ignoring me," he said in irritation. "How the hell could I tell you're not mad when you're ignoring me?"

"We're not friends Justin," she said, making him open his mouth but won't retort because he doesn't know what to say. "Why should we act like we're best friends? We're not friends, we're two random people in this damn world who's unlucky enough to be forced to a marriage that they clearly don't want."

"We're getting engaged Roseanne," he said. "Whether you like it or not, we are. So don't act like a brat because you're not the only one affected with this shitty agreement between our parents. You want our life to be full of ignorance between us? If that's what you want, then I'll say it now, it's not what I want."

"I don't care," she said. "I told you, I don't care. We're not engaged yet so I have the right to be ignore you because that's what I do even before the agreement. Let's be like before, we ignore each other, we don't speak to each other, we're not acquaintances or anything. Do that until the engagement, will you? If you can, maybe even after."

Jungkook was irritated and annoyed to the point he was losing his patience. She was acting like a spoiled brat who acts like she's not affected and just throws away familiarity like it never happened when in fact she is affected. He never agreed to mary anyone so irritating and yet here she is standing in front of him.

"I did not wait out in the sun to hear garbage from you," he said. "Do you think I wanted this?! I didn't. But I was fvcking guilty when I saw you cry and it's my fvcking duty to apologize because you're technically my girlfriend and I am trying to apologize here because I don't fvcking know how and can't you just be flattered or appreciate that a guy is apologizing to a girl like you?"

"I told you I am not mad so why does it bother you if I ignore you?" She said, losing her patience also. "Is it really hard to do?"

"Because you're so pretty!" He said, making her widen her eyes. "You're going to be someone I'll spend the rest of my life with and I don't want you to ignore me like parents did. So tell me, is it hard to ask for that much?"

He was annoyed that he forgot why he was apologizing and harshly took her hands to put the fvcking bouquet on her hands and walked past her.

But since they were going home together, as ordered by his mom, they had to share a car. Hugh just whistled happily not noticing the tension between the couple behind him.

Jungkook didn't give a fvck anymore and just close his eyes through the ride because he was exhausted of staying under the sun and running after his girl.

But he wanted to beat himself for bursting out a personal feeling to someone who doesn't care, as she said and he just broke down.

For the whole ride, he didn't dare glance at her as she sat down beside him because he was still angry at her, and at himself.

He felt something fall on his shoulders and found her asleep. He was so mad that he wanted to push her off and wake her up with a bump on the head when he noticed the flower he gave her which she was now clutching tightly with her hands on her lap.

And he couldn't help but make a small smile that disappeared quickly.

A thought came into him and he didn't know whether it will still be goo or not, but did it anyway.

"I'm sorry," he whispered, looking at her face as he tucked a few strands of hair behid her ears and gazed at her sleeping face.

And he just found himself caressing her soft cheeks that made him remember the tear that fell down on that spot.
