°FADE AWAY
Jungkook didn't go home that day. He feels a lot of pain with everybody against him. He was hurt, shouldn't that be enough reason?
Roseanne hurt him and just because she's sorry about it doesn't mean he can forgive her already. Truthfully, he misses her. He was ready to forgive her and embrace her lovingly, he was. But maybe he let his anger get the best of him seeing somebody else with her.
Is she cheating on Daniel? He thought. She could've cheated on him with me.
His eyes snapped open at the thought, that's acting greedy. No matter how much he likes - wait, like?
"Son, why aren't you eating?" His dad tapped his arm. "Is something wrong?"
Currently, he was at home with an excuse of having to pick something up from his room and will be going home in the morning.
"Nothing's wrong," he forced a smile. "I'm just really tired lately with everything going on in school. Sorry for worrying you."
His dad went silent for a second, surprised that his son had talked to him properly after quite a long time, besides the time at the hospital. Jungkook never say anything about his personal life, he always acts so distant.
"W-well, you can always tell me," his dad smiled widely. "You're old man is here ready to give you wisdom."
"You're old but not really wise," his mom interjected, laughing.
"Remember, you fell in love with this old man," his dad proudly says, breaking a small smile on Jungkook's face.
"That's because I had no choice," his mom rolled her eyes defensively. "You ought to know that, but everything turned put fine with me bearing a handsome boy."
"Yes, Jungkook is handsome but," his dad said, making both of them look at him. "Dear, falling in love with me was never a choice for you, it just happened. Unplanned and unexpected, you fell for my charms."
"Now I know where Jungkook's ego was from," his mom sighed playfully in dismay. "Glad his brains came from me."
"I know my truth so I won't argue with you," his dad chuckled as she glared at him.
They don't really get along sometimes, maybe because they're arranged too. But now, they look like teenage couples teasing and fighting with each other.
"Jungkook, eat properly," his mom chided, standing up and sitting beside him after sensing something's wrong.
She never does that.
Which surprised him as he lifted his head to meet his mom's worried eyes.
"What's wrong?"
He looked at her, not speaking. When tears started to form in his eyes, his mom immediately hugged him causing him to cry.
"I messed up mom," he said, burying his face on her shoulders. "I did something wrong."
"I'm sure it was reasonable," she patted his back, comforting him with her motherly words.
His dad stared at them in awe, nostalgic of the scene in front of him. It was like a four year old Jungkook again, crying like a baby in his mother's arms until everything changed as times goes by. And he realized they've been neglecting their son.
"I thought it was," he said, remembering how Roseanne looked when he snapped at her. "I hurt her."
The couple looked at each other with a knowing look. Something had happened.
"You should apologize, then," his mom said. "Or is there a reason why you won't?"
"She hurt me too," he cried. "And I hurt her in return, I messed up."
His dad sighed and rubbed comforting circles on his back.
"Son, whether she hurt you or not, you should never hurt her," he said. "You shouldn't get revenge just because she hurt you, you should be patient. Maybe even move on. Revenge is never the reason."
"Prove to her that she's wrong for hurting you without hurting her," his mom said. "But for the meantime, if you can't handle everything all at once, you can just stay here and go back when you're ready."
"Just make sure you won't take long," his dad joked. "Love can't wait that long."
Wait, love??
"Lisa," Bambam called, putting the plates in front of her.
"What are you doing here?" She said with no expression, staring in space.
"You didn't go home," he said, sitting down in front of her. "I was worried."
"Don't give me that crap, we're not engaged anymore so you can leave now," she said, standing up and heading to her bed room. "Lock the door on your way out by the way."
"Lisa," he stood up as well, following him. "Don't be like that."
"Don't be like what?" She said impeccably. "Just leave Bambam, it's late."
"I can't leave you when you're like this," he said, pulling her arm. "We may not be engaged anymore but I still care about you."
"I don't need another lie to add in my collection," Lisa glared at him, yanking her arm back.
"I'm not lying," he said, not letting go. With her glare, he sighed. "Okay, I'll leave after I make sure you ate already. Deal?"
"I'm not hungry," she said, looking away.
He sighed. "I know you're hurt, but please, please, eat something," he pleaded. "You think Roseanne would like it if you starve yourself?"
"She wouldn't know," she whispered, looking down. "She wouldn't know."
Before she knew it, drops of tears fell on the carpet below their feet. Lisa was crying.
She felt so sad her best friend had to go through all her problems alone.
"She's lucky to have a friend like you," Bambam embraced her, relieved that she didn't push him away. "You should know that. But maybe she needs her time alone, too. Maybe tomorrow she'll be talking with you again."
"I feel bad, Bammie," she sobbed on his chest. "I'm a bad friend."
Was it a wrong to smile hearing her call him by the nickname she gave her in the middle of her crying?
He hugged her tighter, comforting her with his arms. You're a good friend Lisa.
"Please tell her I'm fine," Roseanne spoke through the phone with a raspy voice. "And tell her I'm sorry. Please take care of her Bambam."
She laid on her bed, curling into a ball with her eyes swollen from crying the other day. It hurts, but she deserved it, remembering the hurt expression Jungkook has when she hurt him too.
"I'm sorry Jungkook," she whispered. "I'm really sorry."
